For many couples, however, stress builds up as you try to conceive, and the stress makes it harder and harder to be intimate, fun-loving and involved with each other. Here are a number of important suggestions to put the spark back into your relationship and to get rid of the stress brought on by your desire to conceive.

Couple's Night Out

Many couples who are trying to conceive get their intimacy down to a routine. There is nothing romantic about charting your temperature, paying attention to when you ovulate, and having sex on a time schedule. One way to spice up your life is to make time for a weekly night out. This night out doesn't need to conclude with sex - it might even be better if it doesn't. It's just a chance for the two of you to go out, relax and have fun. Go bowling or to the movies, rent a movie or play a board game. Go for a swim, or take a walk in the neighborhood and sit in a park. You don't have to spend money or do something amazing; you just need to have time to be together.

Exercise Together

Exercise is a very important way to release stress, get into shape, help your heart, and more. Find an exercise routine that the two of you can do together. This might be Pilates, yoga, spinning, running or rollerblading. As long as you are together, enjoying yourselves, and getting exercise, it doesn't matter what it is. Many of these exercises will help you to release endorphins, which will help you to sleep better and to relax more.

Tai Chi is a great activity that people love. It can tone the body, relieve stress, and help you to feel centered and grounded. It can also increase energy. Trying this exercise, or another unique and unusual one, will help you to get your mind off of your attempts to conceive and will put you in a positive frame of mind. There are many Tai Chi clubs that will also make you feel part of a group and give you support in your life.
