Dear Dr Jacobs,
Apologies for yet another Rh- question but the previous topics don't answer my question.
I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with twins. I'm Rh-, hubby is Rh+. This is my 3rd pregnancy (other 2 didn't make it).
1st pregnancy was a missed miscarriage requiring surgery to remove, Anti-D injection given afterwards at 8 weeks.
2nd pregnancy was a ruptured ectopic at 8 weeks. Anti-D injection given after surgery.
Current pregnancy, no antibodies detected in my blood at 8 week blood test.
I've been offered the Anti-D programme at 28 & 32 weeks. Do I need it?
The midwife said she can't advise me, she just gave me a leaflet and said it's entirely my choice. Worrying! From my limited knowledge I think I would prefer the injections but are they necessary and is there any chance they could HARM the babies? I find this all so complicated ::).
Please help!!
Holly

I hav enot done OB in too many years, so I am not the best to answer your question. An OB would be a better resource. As I recall, the program you were offered is an excellent safety precaution. I do recommend you talk to the OB who is backing your midwife. Good luck.
