My wife just had an ultrasound. it says that "Tvs scan on day 13 of the cycle shows a normal sized anteverted uterus with no myometrial abnormality. The endometrrium is thin, intact and trilaminar. The right ovary is normal in size with the following follicles: 1.6x1.4cm, 1.2x1.2cm, 1.1 x 1.0cm, .8x.8cm, .7 x .7cm, .7x .6cm. The left ovaryis not visualized (surgiclaly absent) in the left adnexa is a 4.0x 2.5cm tubulocystic, anechoic structure with incomplete septations suggestive of dilated stump of the left fallopian tube.
Is there a problem in the left side?

It sounds as though she may have a hydrosalpynx of the left fallopian tube. If that is the case, there is a decreased probability of an embryo to implant in the endometrium, even with IVF. It needs to be removed. Good luck.

How can it be removed? Isn't there is still a tube on the right?

Without seeing your films, I really do not know the condition of your tubes. For my patients with hydrosalpynx, I remove them using a laparoscope. Good luck.
