Dear Dr. Jacobs:
I have a question for you I have a positive pregnancy and 2nd u/s and hcg levels were normal during the third week I began to spot not frequent but every now and then, since I haven't had a chance to see my dr., and only spoke to the nurse all I got was that is normal and to take it easy.
This is my second IVF attempt and even progesterone was higher than 40 plus stopped taking estrace because I didn't need it anymore.
I read something about subchorionic bleed and wondering if this is common with IVF most likely you will tell me that your guess is not concrete until seen by my RE. I really appreciate your response.

There is a long list of potential causes for spotting during an early pregnancy. Most of the time, there is no problem. An IVF pregnancy is really not different from a spontaneous pregnancy. The same risks exist for both. Good luck.
