Lisa - just also to let you kow that my suppository that I used 4 times a day with this cycle was prometrium. I did 200mg every 6 hours until I was 9 weeks pregnant. They really did not have any effect on me. But I have someone in my family that they made tired and dizzy. I took the oral type to bring on a period years ago when I was not having normal periods. Talk to you later. Hope all is well. By the way progesterone is said to double like the HCG early in pregnancy.

Meg -

I am a middle school social worker (7th and 8th graders). On monday our school has fun activities all afternoon related to red ribbon week. I'd rather be at work but I want to be with my husnand when they call...not sure how to work that all out. Luckily he is off Monday and Tuesday. He is a police officer and is currently on midnights. I'm glad he'll be home int he evening...whatever the result.

I did some retail therapy today!

I also can't afford to take any more time off work after all the hours and days for appts and procedures.

How is your DH taking all this?

Daniella -

My DH has been wonderful. He has been taking care of me since the 11th. Even over the past few years things he says and does makes me realize why I married him. He told me a while back that he loves our life and would be fine to keep things the way they are - it took alot of pressure off getting pg. Even though it is the thing I want most in the world it is great to know that he is very supportive.

Unfortunately - he is not off on Monday. He manages a family business. But he will be home with me in the evening.

Where are you from? I am in New York.

Lisa -

I hope you're doing okay with all this progesterone stuff. When do you go back in for more b/w? I hope you can stay positive. Give the most credit to what your nurse/doc says. I think they would be honest with you if they were worried. Please let me know if you need anything...I am only 10 minutes away!

Meg -

I live outside Chicago.

As difficult as this entire TTC process has been it has brought my DH and I much closer!

It was nice taking with you...gonna go get ready for tomorrow.

Hi girls-

Sorry I haven't been in touch-work has been a bit crazy. I feel like I should be taking it a little more easy, but I work with animals and they do not always cooperate. It doesn't help that I have a 13 week puppy as well.

Nothing exciting here except dreading my beta on Friday. Started having my normal premenstrual cramping yesterday. No signs of pregnancy. I look for them!! Of course one of the girls at work got pregnant the first month she tried so we talked all about her first ob appt today and looked at her ultrasound. I am happy for her and try not to be sad about our situation.

I think I may do a hpt in the morning since I stupidly did one Monday morning. I am certain the faint line I saw had to be from my hcg trigger (it had been given 12 days prior). The first time I was pregnant the hpt did not come up until days after I missed my period. Useless tests...

How many days after ovulation are your betas? Mine is 13 days-does that seem right? I thought it was a bit early. We just did our 3 day transfer last Tuesday.

I know how all of you are feeling right now. I am glad I will have the weekend to recover from the news I expect. I am sure they will call on Friday while I am at work-aahh. Take care-I am thinking of you guys!

Hey Daniella-

You are so sweet-- i go tommorrow for my beta and prog test. I had a mini
freakout today; it did not help that i had the day off all day to think about it.
beth's post really threw me off with m/c talk. my nurse said that is not true. my level are low- one reason because of the cremes are not in my blood line so now i am taking prometrium in the evening. I feel good; so i am not going to worry to much
thanks for the moral support

Lindsay - My transfer was on July 16th and my first beta was 10 days later on the 26th. They say that they do the betas around 16 days after your retrieval. By the way I agree with Lisa about the good feeling. I was only 5 days post transfer and did an HPT and it came up BFN. 5 days later I had a starting level of 336!!!! AF type cramping may just be a good sign. It has so far been with most of the ones especially if it around the time you woudl be missing your first AF...

Lisa - read my reply on your other forum post in Pregnancy after infertility. I think you just may feel a lot better after that.

Michelle - Don't worry about symptoms. I had a very uneventful 1st trimester. No m/s at all at anytime, boobs were not real sore. The ony 2 things that made me know that it was somewhat okay was going to the bathroom every 1-2 hours and very, very tired. Nothing like I thought it would be since my first 2 pregnancies that ended before 6 weeks I was throwing up and my beta on the 2nd one never went over 120. At my 2nd beta on this one I was at 1570 and not feeling a darn thing. I thought something was wrong. I think I was the most paranoid from one visit to the next. It will be okay.

Talk to you all later.

Hi Jenny
I guess they are testing me only 13 days after the retrieval. Isn't that cutting it close to when they gave me the hcg trigger? I only received it 14 days ago tonite. I wish I had never done a hpt. I did repeat one this morning, and it is still a light positive (not really any darker than the last test). I think the ovidrel could still be in my body...I don't know why I ever tested!
