Dr. Jacobs,

I am scheduled to travel the day after my pregnancy test on Jan. 31 after my 2nd IVF. Will I increase my chance of miscarriage or is there any reason I shouldn't be traveling so soon?

Once a pregnancy is established by IVF, it is any other pregnancy. You still have all the same risks, but none greater. Your risk of miscarriage is no greater than if you had become pregnant without IVF.

Thank you, Doc! I'm glad to hear that because my doctor told me that IVF pregnancies do have a slightly greater risk of miscarriage than others.
