Hi Smod,
Not at all! I was in treatment at Rush Copley in Aurora for all of my prior treatment. Hubby and I made the decision to travel to Denver to the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. They are considered the best fertility clinic in the nation. If we are gonna spend big bucks on a donor, I want to have the best clinic. They have a great reputation and the highest success rates for IVF in the country.

I have met a few women that have not had success with DE locally in Chicago. So they go there and have a lot of success. I am seeing Dr. Schoolcraft. We went out there in January and consulted with the doctor and had a bunch of tests done. 40% of their patients are from out of state. I am having additional tests and bloodwork done locally at Fertility Centers of Illinois. They just send the results to Denver.

I am sorry about your lack of success with DE. It would be nice if things could just happen the way we want them to. Who is your RE?

Hi Laura-
I just read your post about Dr. Schoolcraft. My DH and I have decided to get a consultation from another IVF facility here in Houston TX and the doctors have also trained with Dr. Schoolcraft. They actually consult with one another. I'm glad to hear of CCRM reputation. It gives me great hope to try again. When will you start your DE cycle?

Hi Laura, my RE is Dr Jay Levin. He's a good doctor and got me pregnant on my first IVF with twins (using my own eggs) in 2005 but sadly the babies' heartbeats stopped at 12 weeks. The result for CVS (genetic testing) was normal. No one knows why it happened. Then I tried again in Mid Spring 2006 but failed to produce enough follicles (39 yr old) when given high dosage of Fertility RXs so decided to go through DE. In November, my body failed to response to Lupron prior to FET plus I had enlarged cysts in my right ovary. The IVF was cancelled but they went ahead and retreive the eggs from the donor. Actutally, RE wanted to postpone the FET since he wanted to do the fresh transfers but was afraid to lose the donor because she emphasized that she won't be around to do the next FET due to holidays, school, needed the money, etc. Last February I had FET with 3 embies. (BFN). I still have 2 leftovers DE- 8 cells in the cryoperservation.

Does FCI work cordially with CCRM?Will it be your first IVF at CCRM? I found the website and will look into it. Thanks. I'm curious... Have you heard of Dr Randy Morris in Chicago/Naperville? My friend has a history of several miscarriages until she met him. She just had her twins from DE.

Please keep me up to date and wish you lots of Baby Dust! Same goes for all of you who's trying hard to conceive..
