Tia, so you fertility treatment is covered by your insurance? My insurance only covers office visits. The IUI will cost us about 1000.00. Yes, I'm very excited about tommorow, I cant wait to start the 2ww, so I can be done with it. So you think your IVF will be next week? What cd are you on? I'm on cd 14 today and will O on cd 15. Shan, if your lines are getting darker, just keep testing. Make sure you test mid-morning and then in the evening, if you test twice a day then you will make sure you see the surge as early as possiable. Make sure you hold your urine for 3-4 hours and dont drink alot of water in between. Make sure you dont stress on O, if you stress it will take longer to O. Are you taking your temps in the morning? That will also help you know that you O. Are you having any other signs of O, like cm, sore boobs? Good luck, dont stress and keep testing.

Yes my insurance covers IVF. The problem was they changed the plan after we got started to NO coverage. Then they refused to continue coverage. Their problem was they admitted coverage by sending me all the fertility durgs. So with a lot of determination and persistence my DH and I did not stop until they switched us to a plan that does. It was crazy. So now I have coverage. for about a cycle and a little money left over for 1/2 a cycle. It sure beats nothing.

IUI is not that expensive wow. That's great. I was checking with the nurse today and she say that it will another 10 days depending on how the eggs are growing for ER, so I will be starting my when your 2ww is ending. :(, don't worry i will be there all the way.

Hello ladies,

Just popping in to say hi and see what I missed. I am on my way to class.

RNORST - I did not have 15 to 20 eggs. I had a follicle measured at 15 and then 20 LOLOLOL ;D I would be bloat city with that much going on!!! It will be on you tomorrow with the IUI right!! I am praying for you and keeping my fingers crossed.

I was curious to know if it is safe to have sex/orgasm in the first trimenster? will it harm the baby?

orgasms are fine and feel great when you are pregnant!! It may cause some discomfort if you are havig any pelvic stretching but other than that I would not worry!!! Women who are considered high risk and have an incompetent are advised against it. I hope this helps.

Tia, Thats awsome that ins cover the IVF. Is your ins from your work or dh work? So what cd are you on? Thank you for being there for me, I'm also here for you all the way.

Shara, Thats so funny, I thought Wow thats alot of eggs?? So you are in the 2ww right? My eggs measured 22, 18, 16. I think they grow 1-2 a day so I should have 3 for sure. We will be in the 2ww together. I sure hope it goes by fast. My 2ww starts tommorow after IUI.

Positive girl, It's is fine to bd during preg. It will not hurt the baby. Unless for some reason you were having problem with the preg, but you are not, you should be fine. Yes, It's always better to ask first. And yes I did want to bd more when preg, must be all the hormones. :)

well I was told from my last experience that avoid having sex during the first trimester. And all was because you are at risk to have a m/c and just to avoid anything my doctor told me avoid having sex for the first months then past the first trimester it was fine and safe.

I just went to the doctor for my referel and she didn't do anything she did ask some questions and that was all. She said that the referel will take about 1 week and then once approved I could go and make my appointment with my OB/GYN. I can't wait hope that they don't take long.

Tia - Wow! you are coverd for IVF. you must have a superb insc. My DH insc covered upto 6 IUI and all the fertility drugs but not IVF. My RE said that IVF costs around 8000$ and if one sigs up for 3 then it is 13,000.

Well I know that is is hard especially on the men. My poor dh has been telling me to buy him a fake doll....lol We have not bd since march on our conception date I think and I feel sorry for him because I know he needs me at times. There was one day that he did tell me and I just told him that we needed to wait atleast past the first trimester just for the safety of our baby.

I am sure that you are fine! But like I said my doctor told me to wait for 3 months atleast just to be safe. I am doing all that she said just to make sure that nothing bad happens to my baby.

Don't worry just try to avoid it for 3 months atleast past your first trimester. Since that is what us women are at most risk of having a m/c.
I don't think by bd'ing one time will go something wrong so relax and take good care of yourself on these difficult first month. ;)
