Well girls I do the shot tonight to release the eggs, then dh and I go in on wed. for the IUI. I'm so excitied, I have a good feeling about this. The nurse also told me the the follice were 22, 18, 16. I think they grow 1-2 everyday? Does any one know? What # is mature? The nurse told me that the shot makes you release all the eggs but only the mature ones have a chance of surving, so I guess I would have more follices than 3, but 3 have a chance since they are mature. Think of me tonight when dh has to give me the shot in my stomach
:(, I know it wont be that bad, I've never had a shot in the stomach before.

Hi Renee,

I had 2 follicle(23, 18). I had taken Gonal-F shots(they are injectables) so my RE said that anything above 16 was good. I had 2 back to back IUI. I took my shot at 9 AM and the next day I went at around 11 for first IUI and then the next day at 10 for the second one. The shot does not hurt at all just a pinch. you could also apply ice on the area before taking the shot to numb it. My RE said after the shot it takes 32 to 36 hrs for the egg to release.

Postive girl, I'm doing clomid 100 mg with IUI. When you took the hcg, did you do it in your stomach? So if you had 2 mature eggs, maybe you will have twins??? When is your u/s?? Would you like to have twins? I would love to have twins, I would be nervous about carring them, I'm kind of small, I had my son 3 weeks early and he only weighed 5 lbs 4 1/2 oz. I know God will do whats ever best for me, and I trust in Him.

I took just at the start of my butt.... :) My U/S is on the 31st of this Month. I am not sure of twins this is something which I and my DH are not sure or litle nervous or it sounds overwelming.... :) too many mixed feelings... thoughts of having 2 at the same time and since this is my first PG thought of having twins freals me out. We also wanted to enjoy and focus on one and see him/her grow so that we are bale to give full attention on one and then go for the second one....:) not sure... let's see what god has in store.

My RE said that even though u may have more follicles it not necessarily means u have thoes many babies...:)

When you had Will 3 weeks earlier did you take him home right after he was born ot did he had to stay in the hospital for some extra days? Since he was little?

I think that this wed is just to see if the follistim is working and I think If I do the ER it will possibly be May 30/31. when does your 2ww start? I think you are a week ahead of me

I am so happy that you go to hear your baby's heartbeat. That is always a relief and suck a blessing to see your baby is doing good. I am excited to hear my baby hope I can hear it tomorrow at the doctors. I am just going for a referel for a OB but hope that I can check on my baby since I haven't seen no doctor since I found out that I was pregnant. I can't wait :)
So when was your last af? You are due in january? and you are 5 weeks along? wow times goes by for sure.
I hope that I can also get a early ultrasound well see what the OB says when I see her hope it is soon.

Hello Girls,

Last friday my DH,myself and my daughter went to meet my dd birthmom. She has been asking to meet so we decided to try. It was a good experiance for my daughter and all of us. I was an emotional roller coster for a good part of Friday. She was a nice person and she has a daughter who we also met who has the same birth-father as Kaitlyn (my dd). I hope you all r doing great. I am doing ok my sugery is around the corner. I am praying for all of you who haven't gotten a bfp to get one and for those of you who had I pray you all a healthy pregnancy.

Lili - I have yet to go for my U/s to chk no. of babie, first hearbeat etc . it's on 31st May. Yes, I am very excitied. am sure things will go very weel for you too and your baby... :) Let us know how did it go.

I am always confused abt. calculating no. of weeks passed. I think its 5 or 6 weeks. b/c IUI was done on the 26th and 27th so so you count form that date then I am 3 weeks.....

Postive girl, The shot in the butt wasn't bad, I did that one when I did the first IUI, back in June 06. The one in the stomach wasn't bad either.
when you firuge how many weeks you are you start from the first day of last af, so you would be in your 6th week.

Lili, since Will was little we only stay for 1 extra day, I had him on monday and we went home wed afternoon.
Good luck at the doc today, let us know right away.

Tia, I may be a week ahead of you, I will do IUI on Wed, so wed afternoon, I will be in the 2ww. Hope it goes by fast for us.

Shan, I know God is so good, be gave me more that a prayed for, I just hope and pray that one of the eggs works. So, your still waiting to O, When do you usual O? I usual O around cd 17 or 18. Because of the meds I will O on cd 15 this month :)

Ange, you are a stong person, that was probably hard having your dd meet her birthmom. Does your dd realize what was going on? June will be here fast, I'm prayi8ng for your surgrey.

Well girls, I survied the shot, it wasn't bad. The needle was short and thin, compared to last hcg shot with first IUI, it was in the butt and the needle was about 2 inch long, but that one wasnt bad either. My stomach is very sore if I touch it or bend over. I hope that I'm not missing O, I know they know what they are doing, but yesterday temp was 97.6 and today temp was 98.5 and I did the fertility montior and it says peak today?? We dont do IUI until tommorow?? We are not suppost to bd, DH need to have his count high. I'm hoping that the meds from the shot is what made my temps go up and the peak reading. When you get a peak does that mean you will O in 24-36 hour?? And after you O the eggs stays around for 24 hours?? They took my blood so they should know when I should O by my bloodwork, I trust them hope the timing is right.

Hello Ladies,

Just waiting to O here and not knowing when I’m going to O is driving me crazy. I don’t want to miss it, but my O calendar says that I should be O tomorrow. I tested this morning but I didn’t get a positive result. I hope I didn’t miss my LH surge. I’m just going to bd with DH tonight to be on the safe side.

cd 12 – slight line (barely visible)
cd 13 –cd 14 – didn’t test
cd 15 – faint line
cd 16 – faint line (a little darker than yesterday)

This is my first time using this OPK test, and it’s very confusing. I should have kept using the Clearblue Easy kit, with the smiley face. Can anyone help? Does my test result mean that I’m about to O?

Tia, so you fertility treatment is covered by your insurance? My insurance only covers office visits. The IUI will cost us about 1000.00. Yes, I'm very excited about tommorow, I cant wait to start the 2ww, so I can be done with it. So you think your IVF will be next week? What cd are you on? I'm on cd 14 today and will O on cd 15. Good luck, I'm praying for you.

Shan, if your lines are getting darker, just keep testing. Make sure you test mid-morning and then in the evening, if you test twice a day then you will make sure you see the surge as early as possiable. Make sure you hold your urine for 3-4 hours and dont drink alot of water in between. Make sure you dont stress on O, if you stress it will take longer to O. Are you taking your temps in the morning? That will also help you know that you O. Are you having any other signs of O, like cm, sore boobs? Good luck, dont stress and keep testing.
