Please let me know if anyone has information on [email protected]/Maria Sanchez. She lives in Columbus, OH and I received a check that is from a closed account.
Also-anyone know how well the USPS is about going back to her address/folliwing up on the fact they accepted a personal check and with COD, I wanted cash/monery order/cashier's check? I will have to meet with them tomorrow.
Thanks to anyone who replies! Be careful....maybe paypal is the safest???

Sorry I don't have any info but thanks for the warning.
You are the second seller in the past few days to say beware. I totally sympathise with your position.
We have all paid a lot of money for our meds and usually want to re-sell to fund a future cycle or to move on, it's very sad when people who also are going through this infertlity hell and know what it is like, rip people off.

Hope you manage to sort this out. Take care xxx.

Thanks! I am shocked anyone would do this. It will be 24hrs w/out a response this evening. I will only accept paypal in the future.
I am not going to ignore it. Today everything is closed, but tomorrow I will be going to USPS, calling her bank and seeing when it was closed, see if they will contact her/give me her number and I am contacting the police. They are usually good about going after check fraud....especially when it was intentional. The account is closed, not overdrawn. I am lucky we live in the same state. It's only a couple of hours away. I have family in Columbus and will probably be making a trip in order to get the police acively involved. I am so annoyed!
I will keep you updated. Yesterday I was hoping it was a misunderstanding but now I am beginning to think it was a scam from the beginning. I want to find someone else she has done this to so we can go after her more.....
Good Luck to you :)

Hello,
I am very sorry you had this happen to you. As a buyer (I start my cycle on the 25th) I am appalled that somebody would scam like this. I know that the ladies I am buying some of my meds from have been extremely helpful, even waiting for over a week to complete the sale because of my financial situation. They both are also shipping c.o.d., as I have had problems with paypal in the past and do not trust them. I do not know how I would have been able to do my cycle this month without the generosity of the ladies on this board who are providing me with my meds at less than half price!

SHAME ON YOU [email protected]/Maria Sanchez FOR SCAMMING SOMEONE WHO IS HELPING YOU!

I hope you are able to get this resolved and re-coup your $. Best of Luck,
Julia

I was selling my leftover meds because I became pregnant and wanted to use the monies towards the purchase of Crinone. This women contacted me and asked that I ship her the meds COD. In the past I had been taken by others who asked for COD and then refuse the package. Because of this I stopped shipping COD and only did Paypal. After talking to this women so many times I felt comfortable to go ahead and ship COD. I paid $36 to ship COD and made sure to cross off the check and only accept cash as payment upon delivery. I guess she was going to scam me the same way as you because she never paid for the meds and stopped all emails to me. From now on if I do ship COD I will request that the buyer pay for shipping and COD costs prior to so I know I will not be left out of my own pocket for another. Always ONLY request cash at delivery too to make sure you are never taken this way again.
Hi,

USPS is not great at follow up. Best way to ship is FedEx COD secure they require payment be by money order or cashiers check only. This protects everyone from being scammed. Good luck to you.

I would do USPS Money order or paypal
I am glad you are putting her name out there so everyone can know what scum she is

Hello,

I too was scammed by this person - not once but twice with back to back mailings.
The email address is registered to someone named Darryl Banks. I'm guessing you have the same mailing address - 1959 Blanchester Court, Columbus OH, 43229. The phone number listed for this person publicly is disconnected - 614-895-2170.
I tried to follow-up with them repeatedly through email, but no response. I sent a registered letter letting them know that felonious check fraud in OH is punishable by 5 yrs in jail, $2500 penalty or both. Not only that, but they have committed mail fraud and that has it's own penalties. They never accepted the registered letter.
They are somehow also connected to an online business called Earth Finest Treasure and I tried to contact them through that site, but no response.
I tried to track down the business name on the check, but no luck. Heritage House at 6785 Spring House Lane in Columbus doesn't seem to exist. I called the National City Bank in Columbus and explained but they would not give any info because of privacy rules.

I would love to make these people pay for scamming at least three of us and I am very curious to know if you made any progress with the Columbus police.

I am still astounded that someone would take advantage of one of us in this situation. I wonder if they are just stealing and reselling rather than actually needing it.

Please respond and let me know if you made any progress - if we can pool our efforts on this and resolve it nothing would please me more.

Did anyone follow up on this and file a criminal complaint? I think I can be of some assistance.
