My day 3 bloodwork was as follows:
LH 11.4 FSH 5.2 E2 171
My clinic said these numbers are fine, and I'm good to go this cycle (50 mg Clomid cd 3-7 + IUI).
Of course, I did some research. What is the reason for measuring E2? I've read that an elevated day 3 E2 (> 75 or 100) may indicate an artificially surpressed FSH, and hence an artificially good ovarian reserve. Does anyone know any details about this? I wonder if my 171 is too high?
I've also read that LH should be below 10. What does an elevated day 3 LH mean?

Hi Silli
I had an elevated E2 on cd 3 as well. Mine was 125. I think my doctor is thinking it is because I didn't ovulate the previous month and then ovulated earlier the next (which is the cycle my day 3 bw was taken on) Sounds confusing and it is but I guess I would say there are many reasons it could be high. I think the ratio of LH and FSH is a factor too. Not sure. I would call the doctor's office and ask them about it. Good luck!

My day 3 baseline was
E2 25.9 LH .4 FSH 6.1
I was told this was good to get started as well.
