Marina - February 9

Lyly,
I'm so sorry this one didn't work.Hopefuly the other frozen embies will do better. At least you don't have to pay for your treatment(I know it doesn't feel any better emotionaly, but at least financialy you are not going broke trying to find another $15 000 to pay for the next try). This is going to be very hard, but you'll feel better one day and don't give up.Keep us posted, what doctor say he thinks about what could went wrong.Hugs

Marina- We are very fortunate to have full insurance coverage for everything except the ICSI which is quite costly ($2705) I was hoping to get at least 2 frozen transfers out of this cycle if needed but with only 3 embies left I feel like I should try all 3. If that doesn't work it will be a financial strain to do the fresh with icsi again. I guess I will worry about that later.

Debbie- Dh has been very quiet about the whole thing. I was out running errands when I got the call and was such a chicken that I text him the news instead of calling him. He hasn't said a word about it since. He will in time but for now I have no idea what he is thinking. I haven't even talked to him about putting all 3 in next time, but he had suggested it for this one. The doctor and I thought 2 would be a good number, but maybe we should have tried more. Oh well can't worry about what already happened. Unfortunately the embryology lab which is storing our last 3 precious embies is closing this month to move. I don't see any way we can try again until they re-open. I hope it is April rather than May. How are you doing? Feeling all bloated yet?

tmayac - February 10

lyty14 I am so sorry to hear the news. The lord is never wrong about his timing.

lyly14 - February 10

tmayac- I have been telling myself that for over 3 years now, but I am beginning to wonder. Lots of baby dust to you tomorrow.

Lyly-I am sure dh just does not know what to say. He probably is diappointed but does not want you to feel worse. I know this will not make you feel better, but April will be here before you know it. I felt the same way when we decided to stop until beginning of this year. It was only July and January seemed an eternity. But we made it through. Hopefully we will have better results than we did last time.

I am definitely feeling bloated. My bbs are so large and swollem. I went in for blood work today and u/s. I had three follies 14.5, 17.5 and 18. RE had me take 375 gonal-f and cetrotide again tonight. He said looks like I will trigger tomorrow and IUI on Wednesday. I am really nervous. Never did IUI before. Hopefully it works. 1800 out of pocket already for meds this cycle. Luckily next cycle of meds will not cost me anything, but I hope it will not be necessary.

Hang in there, I know you will get what you want, unfortunately it is taking longer than expected. My dd is going to be 5 and we started trying when she was 1. CRAZY!!!!

Debbie- I think you are right about dh, he definitely doesn't know what to say. He was very nervous about the whole process to begin with. I definitely feel like he is disappointed. I know he was disappointed that we only got 6 eggs. When the retrieval was done he said you went through all that for only 6. At least we have one more shot before I have to go through all the injections and the retrieval process again. I wouldn't have hesitated to do the IUI at this point if I felt it was worth it, but with his sperm analysis I didn't see any point. I think it will be a great thing for you and dh. Even the IVF takes the pressure off sex. We have had a much better sex life since we started the process. The pressure is off and on demand is a thing of the past, which is nice. Keep me posted on your progress and best of luck with the IUI. Maybe I should take this time to try and take a little weight off myself until we can do the frozen embryo transfer.

I've been awake most of the night feeling cramps my period is on the way. I feel as though I shouldn't even go for the blood test this morning!

lyly14 - February 11

tmayac- That may be a good sign. I had cramps and kept feeling like I was getting my period when I was pg with my dd. Let me know what the beta says. I will be praying for you.

tmayac - February 11

TY lyly14 I went for the test even though I 've started spotting. The nurse says you can have bleeding early in pregnancy. I believe her but I just felt different when I was pregnant with my daughter she's 9.

lyly14 - February 11

Tmayac- How ironic. I also have a daughter who is 9! Funny we had our retrievals the same day and both have daughters the same age. Are you taking progesterone shots? If you are you shouldn't have any spotting, it could be implantational bleeding. Keep me posted.

tmayac - February 11

lyly14 I am taking a progesterone suppository at bedtime since the retrieval.

lyly14 - February 12

tmayac- Any news ? You are in my thoughts!

TMAYAC - Praying that you got a BFP with your result today...

Lyly - Sorry to hear that you had a bfn...I have had a journey myself...In 2000 I got pregnant on an ovulation induction cycle and it resulted in a blighted ovum...Then on my 2nd IUI cycle on 2003 I got pregnant only to have it be a chemical pregnancy...Then I decided to help my fertility chances since I was overweight I had gastric bypass in 2005....Then on my 2nd IVF last year I finally got my BFP....I have been struggling with infertility for 9 years now...Don't give up hope...Hang in there and it will all work out for you in the end...By the way, my DH has a DD that just turned 17 last month...So he is starting all over again....Praying for your next stop on your journey to be a positive one!!!!

A minor set back BFN however my husband and I are ready to go again in March the RE says that they like you to take a 1 month break. we did not freeze any embryos and we are glad about that because we were told the quality was average.

JENNY22074 - February 12

TMAYAC - Sorry to hear that your result was negative....However, this is kind of ironic that you mentioned that you did not freeze any embryos...I chose to do a fresh cycle myself each time last year because the success rates were higher then that of frozen cycles...I also took a month off after my first retrieval and transfer in April and we started again at the end of May last year...We as you know were BFP on that 2nd cycle...The only difference was that I had a 5 day transfer instead of a 3 day...That sometimes is the difference that it takes...Did you do a 3 or 5 day transfer this time?...Just to let you know that the 5 day transfer I have been told yields a higher implantation and pregnancy rate....You may want to check into it at your RE's office....Best of luck and I will look forward to seeing your posts during your next 2 week wait....
