Julie glad to hear you are feeling better.

Lyly I definitely think you made the right decision changing to the new RE. Who has time or patience to sit around and wait for a new suggestion.

Lisa- I am sure Thursday will be fine. Pregnancy is so funny, all we do is wish and hope for it to happen and then as excited as we are when it does, we also are worried for all 9 months, not to mention the rest of their lives.

lyly14 - May 5

Debbie- I know I did but I feel so akward calling the office and asking for copies of my file. I really like everyone at my RE's office. Oh well I have to be a big girl and suck it up and call. I am so happy to hear your screenings went well. How much longer until they do the AFP?

Marina - May 5

Debbie-congrats on a good results-what a relief!
To all other girls-thanks a lot on your advise on how to deal with insurance and doctors!!!I apriciate it a lot! I've lived in this country for 10 years and until this time never had to deal with stuff like this,so I have very little expirience and to be honest,I don't go to the doctors very often.
So,your advise came very helpful and I asked my RE put different code for my sonogram test today and for the blood tests($1500 ones, that by the way all came back normal)
The sonogram was not fun,but I'll live.Some mild cramping.The good thing-everything looks good,no problems.So,I'm good to go. :)
I'm going on my trip on Wednsday, and I wish you all guys only the best!Hold on there!

Have a great trip Marina. Enjoy and try to relax a little. Good things are coming!!

vw79girl - May 6

Marina~ where are you going on your trip?

Reshma and Ronda, how are you girls?

Lyly, don't feel bad about calling and asking for copies of your files. You have the right to have copies of them. Hang in there.

Debbie~ you are so right about what you said...the worrying etc. I feel like after Thurs. I will know a little more and yes, I will still worry but I think it is the not knowing and all of the speculation as to why why why that one started out with the large yolk sac and since then the lagging behind. Does that make sense? I feel like the ultrasound for the larger of the two is always so much clearer, so much easier to make out.

Marina -
That is very right.

I did medical billing for many many years, in the Air Force as well as for a hospital in Virginia.
All they have to do is enter a different diagnosis code.
If your insurance company covers pregnancy, they can use that.

Just like what lyly said : The blood tests you had were for clotting disorders that women with miscarriages often have. You are actually at risk for dvt, thrombosis, stroke, etc if you have them which are medical not just for miscarriage/infertility. You should really talk to your insurance company about getting them to cover some if not all of it. It is worth a shot.
The sonogram also looks for fibroids as well as polyps all of which are not necessarily just a fertility problem. Maybe if you claim you have irregular bleeding and that is why they are doing this sono you can get that covered too. Just get you doctors to justify the medical need (not just for fertility).

HI girls,l

you all have been very busy posting. It took me awhile to read all the new posts. I've been gone for work and then on Friday came down with the worst head cold/sinus thing. I couldn't function and was down on the couch until yesterday evening. I am feeling a little better and my dd is dying to go flower shopping. She wants to buy purple and orange flowers to go togehter. Should be interesting. So off we go to flower shop.

Ronda

vw79girl - May 6

Ronda,
have fun flower shopping! I can't wait to get outside and work in my garden a bit more. Sorry to hear about the sinus thing. Those are the worst especially when there is nothing you can do.

Does anyone know if tylenol is the only thing you can really take or can you/have you taken extra strength? I took some for my lower back yesterday and the nurse had said take regular after I had already taken it. :/

Ronda- Orange floweres are my absolute favorite. I think purple and orange will go nicely together.

Lisa here is a list someone posted on the 2ww forum: (I though you might find it helpful so I copied and pasted it)

Lyly - Thanks for the list. It really helps. Don't worry about asking to request your records. I am sure they lost a lot of business from their delay in getting up and running. I am glad you made the decision to see someone else.

Lisa - You can take up to 2 extra tylenol strengths while pregnant. I use it all the time for my headaches.

Ronda - So sorry to hear you are feeling sick. It is even worse when pregnant since there isn't much you can take.

Jenfrancis - Are you still in the airforce? One of my good friends is a pilot.

Vw79Girl - Good luck Thursday - My fingers are crossed.

Marina - I hope you are enjoying your trip!

JasJulesMom - I am definately always worried just like you mentioned. If I don't feel her for long periods of time - I freak out given all the bleeding I had.

Julie

vw79girl - May 6

Jules and Lyly, thank you so much for the info re: the tylenol XS. I remember it being okay when Reproductive Science Center had me under their care and they said it could be taken for pain with the progesterone shots. And Lyly, thanks for cutting and pasting that other info. :)

I appreciate all the good wishes for Thurs. I am really anxious for it to just be overwith.

Lisa

I finally got the guts to call and ask for my records. I felt so akward. I am not good with phone calls to begin with, so this was hard. I feel guilty switching because I really like my doc and the staff, but I know I shouldn't feel that way. I am sure I am not the only one they lost because of all this waiting, us infertility gals aren't always the most patient people. I just hope the office staff at the new place are as nice as the old ones. Well less than 1 week until I find out.

Jules614 - May 6

Lyly - How did they react when you asked for your records?

Julie

vw79girl - May 7

Lyly, you gotta do what is best for you hun. I think you did the right thing. I know what you mean about infertility gals being impatient. Can you blame us?

Julie, did you ever have lower back aches or do you now?

Lisa

Jules614 - May 7

Lisa -

I have been lucky to not have any back pain considering I am now 240 pounds! YIKES! I was 153 pounds going into my first pregnancy. This is crazy!

Julie

Jules614 - May 7

Lisa - No I did not have any back pain. I have been lucky with this pregnancy - especially given how overweight I am.

Julie
