AWWWWWWWW....I just noticed I moved on to the next flower on my ticker/ yet another milestone.

So glad I have all of you to share this with. I think some of my friend might think I am crazy, especially about the ticker excitement.

I feel the same way about my ticker! LOL! I love that cute little muffin already!
I will be crazy along with you too!! HAHA ;D

Jen, I just know your numbers will be right up there tomorrow! :) I know what you mean about the ticker! I love looking at mine every day. :)

Hey ladies! I just wanted to let you know how my ultra sound went. Kaitlyn is doing fine. She was moving around, kicking the tech every time she was checking my measurements. She spread her legs wide open and the tech said, Yup - she is definitely a girl. Her heart beat is 143 beat per minute. Then, they did an internal ultra sound to check my cervix length. The tech didn't see any problems with either my cervix or the baby's placenta. So, I am basically back to having no idea why I am bleeding. I left a message with my OB again saying I prefer an antibiotic rather than another applicator for/if I still have a yeast infection. This is so frustrating because I don't know what is causing the bleeding.

I will catch up on personals later.

Julie -

I am just grateful! Praise God.

Happy that its nothing. But I think there are some women who get a period throughout pregnancy. Could this be it?

Take care! Glad you are at ease!

I am taking that Crinone Gel (twice a day) and will be so happy, so glad and overjoyed when the 10th week gets here! I hate this stuff. Its nasty and makes my sex life almost non-existent, unless I just want to take care of him!

So I will be happy when life can return to normal.
I just did not want to do the needles, and amazingly my insurance covered this. But would not cover ANY injectables.

Jenfrancis- I can't wait either. Only a week and a half left until I go. I am hoping he is willing to go ahead with the FET and doesn't ask for more testing. I also hope he is willing to put all three embryos in. Only time will tell. Will they call you with the results of the hcg level tomorrow or are they going to make you wait? I am sure everything will be great. Good luck tomorrow.

Lisa- You are so right about the weather for the vacation, it is a bit cool outside this week. I wish it was warmer but I am glad it is not raining today. Well now I can't wait for Memorial day weekend, more time off! lol

Julie- I am glad the u/s went well and was able to put your mind at ease. Is it possible you have a polyp? My sister in law had a cervical polyp and it caused bleeding.

jenfrancis - May 1

My question is:

Why cant they stick the catheter right into the uterus lining when they transfer the embryos?

Would that help them implant a little easier? They would already be buried right in there!

lyly14 - May 1

Jenfrancis- I am not really sure, but I have heard that difficult transfers have poor outcomes. Maybe doing that is too rough and if they do a 3 day transfer the embies would still be floating around the tubes if it was natural so I think they need time to develop and hatch from the shell then implant.

They call me about noon (a WHOLE FIVE HOUR wait!).
I get the results tomorrow. So I will be a little more at ease!
I have seen women say that you can kind of tell based on the numbers if its multiples. So I will post and we can make bets! :)
I am also waiting for one more mile marker right along with you LYLY. I have my first ultrasound on the 13th. So I have to wait one whole day later than you!

I pray they dont need any more testing either. What more can they do, sometimes it just does not work.
I dont see why they would not put all three in there either, except that they are blasts!
I pray they survive the thawing and this goes perfectly for you.
You deserve a miracle!

Jenfrancis - Thank you so much for thinking of me - definitely not a period. Hubby thinks I cut my cervix some how and it just won't heal. What is Crinone Gel and what is it for? I never heard of a catheter going into the uterus for the e/t. They need your bladder full for the process - having a catheter would empty it wouldn't it

Lyly - I wondered if it was a polyp too but the Tech said there was nothing there - no cysts, no anything. I wish I did know.

Again, everyone thanks for your thoughts!

Crinone is progesterone vaginal suppositories. Absolutely nasty like cakey little cottege cheese pieces, but its dry and they come out in chunks. Its gross.

No they stick the catheter with the embryos inside the vagina and shoot them in there. I thought they could just inject them into the lining.

Take care of yourself! Baby is fine! YAY!!!!

Jules614 - May 1

Jen -

I did vaginal suppositories and I hated them - I partly preferred the shots because the suppsoitories stink and they make me stink! I was glad to be done with them as I am sure you are as well.

Jenfrancis- I actually never had all the infertility testing because I went to see the RE about my miscarriages. I had one live birth 9 yrs ago and 3 pregnacies in the span of 1yr and half. I was only trying again for a few months after the last m/c so I didn't think infertility was an issue. The workup for multiple m/c is slightly different than for infertility so I never had the hsg to check my tubes for two reasons- 1) I am alergic to the dye they use 2) he didn't feel it was necessary at the time because I had had 3 pregnancies in a yr and half span so he assumed my tubes were not blocked. He did however suggest I have the water sono to look for abnormalities in my uterus, but since the size and shape were normal I didn't feel the need. I just wonder if he will make me have that done before going ahead with another transfer.

Julie- I don't think they would see a polyp on a regular sono. I know I spot sometimes when I have a vaginal infection other than yeast, did they do a culture on you to check for any infections other than yeast? Let us know what your doc thinks is going on.

Jules614 - May 1

Lyly - I just spoke to the nurse and if I am still bleeding by May 9th - they may stick a catheter in me and conduct a urine culture? Will that hurt? Catheters scare me.

If a sono does not show a polyp - how do you find out you have them?

Julie

lyly14 - May 1

Julie- Is the blood only there when you pee or do you have urinary symptoms? I am curious why they would do a urine culture and not a vaginal culture first to rule out vaginal infection. If you do have vaginal bleedind and they think you have a urinary tract infection they need to catheterize you so they don't get false blood in the urine. The catheter is not comfortable but you should be okay.

As far as the polyp, if it is a cervical polyp which is commom during pregnancy (due to increased hormones) they would have to do an internal with the stupid clamps they use to do a pap. They can see them on your cervix if you have one.

Jules614 - May 1

Lyly -

I had an internal u/s today but they did not use clamps. The blood is not when I pee but more when I wipe. The most common time for the bleeding is in the morning up until 11 a.m.

Your explanation of the false blood in the urine is exactly what my nurse said. Have you done it? How uncomfortable is it? how long does it stay in? I heard it hurts coming out.

Julie

lyly14 - May 1

Julie- with the internal u/s they don't always see a polyp on the cervix especially if it is small. I think they actually have to look in there. I had a cath before but I was really young I don't really remember much except it wasn't pleasant.
