Hi everyone,

Girls, you are showing!!!!!

I am definetely showing but this is my 2nd pg. I cannot hide it from my co-workers anymore....anyone with eyes in their head and can see either I'm pg or getting fat! I think some of the morning sickness (all day sickness in my case) is starting to ease off some. I see regular OB on Monday and can't wait to hear the heartbeat again!

Lisa,

good luck today, keep us posted!

BEth,

welcome back, sounds encouraging for BFP for other person using same donor eggs!

I am already wear maternity clothes at every oppotunity I get. All my clothes are getting snug and uncomforatable. I feel huge. I am so worried about gaining too much weight this time. I gained 72 with ds and took 3 years to get it all off, I gained 80 with dd and still have about 40 of that. I really cannot afford to gain that much this time since I am already starting heavier than ever before.

Suggestions anyone. I have the slowest metabolism in history so if I look at a piece of cake I gain 5 lbs?

JasJulesmom,

well, I gained 70 lbs with my dd and took if off in a year and gained some of it back before this pg. My best advice (that I've gotten from mom's who only gained the 30 lbs they were supposed to) is to walk, eat fruit and veggies, and don't eat off your kids plates. Easier said than done I know, I am craving meat and bread this time. I am also worried about the weight gain, as I don't want to gain 70lbs again. Unfortunetly, I also have to eat alot of little snacks during to day to help keep the "sickness" from taking over. I'm sure I've gained too much weight already, even being as sick as I have been. Thats what happened in last pg, I started gaining in 1st tri-mester and just kept gaining (its the constant eating to try and keep from getting sick).

Debbie,

I asked my doctor about managing my weight gain as i am already overweight and she told me not to worry about it, just eat sensibly - lots of fruit and vegetables and drink lots of water. I cant exercise except for light walking because of my complications. Nevertheless i lost 3 lbs so far- all i've done is eat 4-6 small meals a day instead of 3 regular...i have stayed away from sweets and i am drinking lots of liquids...mostly water but if i do drink a soda (it helps with the queasiness) i dilute it with carbonated water. I havent changed what i eat so much as how i eat...of course, i have no idea how the rest of my pregancy will work out but i am hoping not to gain more than 25-30 lbs. I downloaded a book called pregnancy without the pounds and it has some useful tips. You could check it out.

I went into this pregnancy about 218. I am now about 236. I went into my first pregnancy 159 and delivered at 212. I took it right off but got depressed when I couldn't get pregnant gaining sooo much. It is so hard. To each of you that gained a lot of weight - did you end up with gestonial diabetes? I am afraid this time around.

Jules,

I didn't end up with gestional diabetes, but did have alot of fluid retention at the end.

Girls!
here we go! :) :)
still twins, I haven't spoken to my OB yet, he is calling me tomorrow but the u/s tech was so excited for us.

Twin #1 measured 34mm at 10w2d and 175BPM
Twin #2 measured 26mm at 9w 2d and 180BPM so... that little one is hanging on and still going strong. The yolk sac didn't seem to be an issue as I guess the placenta is going to be taking over.

They were dancing all over the place and waving and kicking little legs, it was AMAZING to see. We got to hear the heartbeats on both!!!

I feel so relieved!!! Thank you for all of your good wishes girls. I am so lucky to have all of you.

I feel like I have gained a few lbs. but nothing significant yet. Before all of this started, I was between 113-117. They weighed me on that first dr. appt. and I was @ 122. I think some of it may be bloating from the progesterone too. I imagine with twins, I will gain quite a bit.

Jules, has your sister gained a lot with twins?

Jules614 - April 21

vw79girl - BIG CONGRADS!

I think my sister has gained about 40 pounds so far. She is about 210 pounds give or take.

vw79girl,

WOOOOHOOOOO. Your babies are hanging in there. Sounds like the yolk sac is a moot point now.....looks like you are going to have twin babies!!

I am so happy for you. Isn't hearing the heartbeat just the neatest thing?

Ronda

Ronda,
yeah, from what the U/s nurse said, the yolk sac kind of goes away after week 10 anyway or something like that. Enlarged yolk sacs can go either way so maybe twin 2 is really going to be okay. I will find out more tomorrow when I speak to my OB.

The heartbeat is the coolest. It is also so neat when you can see it beating and you can see the baby/ies bouncing around and moving arms and legs, I found that part fascinating. My husband loved it. He was so excited. Right now he is ripping our yard apart and doing some landscaping. I wish I could get out there and clean up our yard and rake and do some gardening but I really should take it easy. Maybe I will hire one of my kids from school. :)

So, DH has been working on Samantha's room while I have been in Florida since Kailyn will be taking Samantha's room. Here are some pics he sent me today of his progress. The border is Disney Princesses. I want to get some letters that spell out Samantha for the wall.

What do you think? I am hoping the pics will post here
