Mj - How crazy is that?!?!? All identical!!!!! WOW! I just could not imagine and I am a bigger woman to begin with. I actually decided on my own because of having gastric bypass in 2005 and 2 m/c that I would go to a high risk doctor just to be safe. I am going to a perinatal specialist and she is so funny. My hisband is in love with her. I could not have picked a better doctor just by looking at a picture and credentials. Since I had the u/s 2 days ago they did not do another one. I go back in 4 weeks. God that is a long time for me to try to not go insane. Other then that I guess they really base their visit on your last u/s. She will do a pelvic exam on me every visit because of a LEEP procedure I had in 1999. She is not concerned about in being a problem just wants to keep an eye on it. I go on Saturday to do the prenatal screen so I have to do that 1 hour nasty sugar test already for diabetes. They gave me free samples of many prenatal vitamins. I also got a welcome prenatal folder with magazines, the dos and donts of pregnancy eating and what type of medicines I can use over the counter for the flu, cold, allergies etc... I was in there for 2 hours almost. She talked to us about how the practice runs and what to expect from her as our doctor. Then we were examined and then she talked to us again. Blood pressure was great today 116/76. So all is well. She did tell us that between weeks 11 and 15 I can go for a special u/s to test for downs syndrome or I can wait until week 16 to do a blood test. These are all choice not mandatory. So we do have a couple things to think about. All in all in went pretty good and the only thing that was disappointing was not hearing the heartbeat. They said because of me being bigger that it would be hard to place the heartbeat right now with the doppler. So I was okay with that. Well that was my experience. NOthing like your will be I am sure since there are three. Good luck in your search for your doctor. Talk to you all later.

Well....just back from my first u/s!!!!! :) Luckily everything went very well, they even detected a heartbeat! I was shocked as I was not expecting that. Right now the heartbeat is at 121. I got a picture of the sonogram and it looks like a little bean :D Right now they are putting me at 6 1/2 weeks, with a due date of April 21st. I can't believe it!!! I have been hearing all of these "wives tales" about how to tell whether its a boy or a girl, something about if the heart beat is over 140, its a girl, and if under 140, its a boy?? Anyone have any insight?? I guess its just a "tale" but its always fun to guess :)

Hey MJ!!! You have been on my mind!!!! I told my husband about you and your 3 little blessings and he just smiled at the thought of it. Congrats again! I can't believe they are all identical....so crazy, I wish you luck!!!! I just cannot imagine!!!!! Today they only seen one in the sonogram for me, and although she said that wasn't 100% accurate, it is at least 90% (one may have been hiding) but its very unlikely, so we'll have one little blessing :)

Jenny, I am happy that you like your ob...that has to be a great feeling. I wish I lived closer to you!!! :) That is my next "hurdle" - I have been going to my fertility doctor for over 2 years now, and we have moved during that time, etc. So I am just now starting to research ob's...I hope I make a good decision!!!! Its so important to like the ob and their staff, so congrats!

Cdad - has your RE recommended anyone? Congratualtions on seeing the heartbeat. It was awesome was it not? Seeing that just makes all the difference in the world. I go for a glucose test tomorrow and then on the 19th of September I have the NT first semester screening for the downs syndrome, trisomy13 and trisomy 18. What state do you live in?

cdad0207 - August 31

They actually gave me a list of referrals, I haven't had the chance to review them yet. I really wish I had a "personal referral" just to have that much more comfort, but what I have will have to do! :) I live in Fl. Wow, I didn't think that glucose test came until later on in the pregnancy...I heard that is REAL fun :) I am definitely ready to get my schedule of the testing run down, those things can be so nerve wrecking, but we got this far, we are definitely well on our way! Good luck on your testing!

Oh, it was so neat to see that little flutter...I felt horrible because my husband chose not to go to this one (due to his work schedule) and I assumed it was way too early to see anything substantial...he was ok with it and he'll probably go to every single one from now on since he had to miss the first :)

JENNY22074 - August 31

See my hubby did not go to the first one since it was only to make sure the pregnancy was in the uterus and such. He has gone to each one since then. Well because I had gastric bypass and am also on the plus side of weight I will have one now and one at like 5 months when they normally do it. Where abouts in Florida because I have a cousin that lives near like west palm beach and his wife just had a baby in may and she had to go to a perinatal specialist/high risk doctor. Yeah I am pretty sure I will be sick trying to drink this stuff. Not looking forward to it at all. Yes that is so true that we are well on our way. Talk to you again soon.

Red - September 4

cdad~Glad to hear you saw the heartbeat and have seen your bean! How wonderful. I pray all continues to go well with your pregnancy.

Jenny~It sounds like you are in good hands with your o/b. That's great because you need to be comfortable with this person as it is a difficult situation. I'm glad you noted to yourself that you and the baby puppy are just fine. Hope you can find peace and patience until your next appointment.

mj~I just can't believe it! Not only do you have twins, but identical??? What a miracle! I'm so happy for you and dh. I bet he's ecstatic!! How amazing! Geez, I don't think there could be any additional information at the next appt. is there?? :) Being a small person, I'm sure they'll be watching you like a hawk. I will pray all three continue to thrive and you will be just fine!!

Nix~How are you feeling after your 2nd IUI? I will pray for positive results for you. Hopefully you are resting.

Hope I didn't miss anyone and I pray you all continue with positive pregnancies!

Nix - September 4

Hi Red,
The second IUI went fine - in fact it is the first one (out of 4) that didn't hurt.
My DH's sample wasn't great for either of the IUI's, with Friday's being 10.5 million and a progression of 4 and Saturday's being 10.9 million and a progression of 1 to 2. We are still hopeful though. I had 2 good size follicles which were 2.0 and 1.9 on Wednesday.

Just have to get through this 2ww!!!
Love to all of u!
N

Red - September 4

Nix~Remember, it only takes one! Just keep positive thoughts and prayers throughout the 2ww! I will also pray for positive results. Also, just keep busy and the 2ww will cruise by! Good luck and lots of babydust to you!!!

JENNY22074 - September 4

Red - Hey girl how are you? Today is your u/s right? Praying for you!!!! We have fingers, toes and paws crossed for you!!!! Sending out big love that we see a heartbeat today!! Can't wait to hear the good news. Let us know when you get a chance!!

Hey Nix - Hang in there. We are here for during this wait. Like Red says it only takes one!!!! Praying for a BFP!!!!

Everyone else - any news or anything to report?!?!? Hope all is well!!

Red - September 4

Jenny~Yes, today is our u/s. Not until 3 p.m. though. I am not feeling very good about it especially since cdad indicated she saw a heartbeat and she's as far along (if not maybe less) as I am. I still don't have any major symptoms so I'm getting a little (okay, a lot) down in the dumps. I don't think I've been this nervous about an appointment since we started. At 8 weeks I'll be devastated if there's a problem. Yes, please do pray and I'll let you know tomorrow what we find out. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Nix - September 4

Dear Red,
I totally forgot that today is your u/s - and here I am going on and on about me, when u are feeling aweful! I am so sorry! I'm sure everything will be just fine! You and Jenny have been such awesome chearleaders on this forum, I think it's our turn to chear you on a bit! Even though I am sure you will be fine and that the baby is doing great, I will send up an extra prayer, just for you!! Please let us all know what happens!
Baby dust big time!

JENNY22074 - September 4

Red - hang in there. I am 10 weeks along and I have never had any major symptoms during this pregnancy. We have to remember not to look at what we do or don't have and all pregnancies are different. Hang in there I am sure that all will be okay. I resigned my position at work this morning. I feel that they have been discriminating a little since I needed so much time off to try to become a mother and then when I did I had all the other appointments. They denied me a raise based on my absences for medical reasons that were a choice and not something that was mandatory. They also have said something and made complaints that I have been wearing tennis shoes since being pregnant for comfortabliity. I feel at peace finally. I do have another job with my old manager that was very supportive of my choice to become a mom. You are in my prayers and you will feel them very much at 3pm. What time zone are you in so I can send positive thoughts to you when you are at the doctor?

Red - September 4

Nix~No need to apologize! I was happy to hear about your situation! I'm so glad it didn't hurt. Like I said, I will be praying for positive results. Again, no need to apologize! I'm just a little nervous and hearing about other's right now helps. Take care!

JENNY22074 - September 4

Nix - Honey you are just fine. We are all on here to lend support to everyone whether you are just starting your journey or have completed your journey in one way or another. That is just fine that you wanted to share with us how you are doing and you should not feel bad that you were wrapped up in talking about that and got sidetracked. It is just fine to have that happen. The important thing is we are all here for each other in one way or another and share in every way. So don't feel bad that you forgot about anything. It happens.

Red - September 4

Jenny~I, fortunately, haven't been paying too much attention to my symptoms until they didn't see the heartbeat last week and that sent me into a tailspin. One of those not-so-positive things that hit me! I am in Eastern (Michigan) time zone just like you so at 3 p.m. be sending prayers up for me!!! :) Thanks for the words of encouragement and I hope you are right! Sorry you were discriminated against. That is such a shame, but I'm sure you'll be better off with your new job. What does dh think about it? How long have they been like this?

JENNY22074 - September 4

They started acting like this and I did not really pay too much attention becuuase I had the IVF on my mind. So it started in late June, early July. Great so int like 2 hours and 19 minutes I will be praying extra for you and your miracle. I know if it is not one thing it is another with us lately. Like I said to my knowledge they really look for the heartbeat to be seen at 6wks 5 days and I think you were just a day early. I am sure everything is just fine. Also, everyone's pregnancy is different and maybe the other girl is further then they think. I mean not until you go to the OB do you really get your final due date. Hang in there. HUGS, LOVES, AND MANY PRAYERS!!!!! Love to you and the baby. Talk to you soon.
