This is just the 1st month. I have my 2nd follicle study this am. Then the doc wants to see me to talk about next month- possibly upping my dose to 100mg? Well, it won't matter because my DH will be in Chicago for the 3 most important days :( So I think we'll be taking next month off, which would probably be good, since we haven't taken a break, REALLY, in a year and 2 months.

Thanks for asking :)

OK, what are your opinions on when to start testing??? Any and all opinions are, of course, appreciated!

if ou are talking about testing for pg the earliest to do it if you did an hcg shot is 10days later.

Thank you for responding- but it was a BFN. Now we start round 2 of clomid at an increased dose of 100mg, not looking forward to potential side effects. Will DEFINITELY see the RE if this month is another failure. :( I am wanting a rather large pity party right now for myself.

Hi - I am new to this site and hoping to get info on "symptoms" during the 2WW. Sorry if I'm not "hip on the lingo". I had my retrieval on 9/22 - had nearly 20 follicles but only 5 eggs, 2 fertilized. Transfer was on 9/25. Everything has been unbelievably easy up until now but I'm driving myself nuts trying to notice ANY sign that I'm pregnant. I've been prego 4 times, but have no kids. I had 1 miscarriage and 3 ectopics (1 treated with methotrexate, 2 tubes removed) so you'd think I'd know pregnancy symptoms. My boobs are killing me, it seems like I am peeing more and I'm slightly crampy..and have had a bit of constipation. I'm taking progesterone and estrace vaginally - could my "symptoms" be a result of these suppositories? Am I going nuts? My first blood test will be 10/7 and another on 10/9. Ugh...I can't wait.

BLESS YOUR HEART! There is no advice I could give you as far as what is side effects from meds, my boobs always kill me before my period, so that's no help either. Try to remember there is no amount of worrying that will change anything. It has taken me 6 months to realize this! ::) I have only been pregnant once, naturally and delivered fine- but so far (1yr & 3 months-) nothing. If I had to guess, I'd say you run a very good chance of being preggers :) I have a co-worker who turned me onto this site, and she is due 11/16 with her 2nd child (this one by IVF, her prior by IUI). She too had 2 transferred.

much love and many blessings & TONS of baby DUST!!
Please post on the appropriate forum & let me know if you get a BFP (big fat positive), my email is: [email protected]

Thank you so much for the advice and the good wishes! It's helpful to hear from someone who has had experience with this, as I don't really know anyone who has been through it. I swear, most people just get the deer-in-the-headlights shocked look when I talk about IVF. The info I've found on this site is most comforting. Anyway, I am keeping my fingers crossed....in fact I was just looking at the pics of my two embies a few minutes ago, dreaming of the moment I get to meet them. :)

Am I in the wrong forum? ??? So sorry if I am. I don't have much experience with forums. I thought this was 1st IVF/2 week wait? This is my first IVF experience...my only option after the other four losses via natural conception.

Anyway, BEST OF WISHES to you too! You'll get there...best things come to those who wait as they say right? ;) I will look for updates. Hang in there and thanks again!

Oh, no, I was wrong, you are in the right place :) !! I post on a couple different boards and confused your subject with another board, sorry. It is amazing to think that someday you could meet those little bubbles, isn't it?!?! Stay positive and hopeful! Soon you'll be posting to the boards that are for the pregnant gals!

Nicole,
Wow....I'm still shaking. Just got my results from blood test this morning. It's a "BFP" as you say. My levels are at 216. I can't even believe it!!

Thank you again for your encouragement - baby dust works! You are so blessed to have one child and I truly hope for the best for you in your goals to have additional children. Tons of baby dust to you! I will continue to look on this site for updates - when is your next cycle?

Ianmichael3 - October 7

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo happy for you- I think I'll just burst into uncontrollable sobs when it happens for me :) Take care of yourself - you'll be posting to those other support groups now that you're preggers! Keep me posted! Only a few more weeks til you hear the heart beat... Unbelievable!!

Ianmichael3 - October 7

Oh yeah! I forgot to say, my next cycle- if you mean AF (aunt flow), then she's due to arrive 10/20/08. I'm on CD 15 right now. DH is set to give his 1st (and hopefully only) sample on 10/15, which would be 10 days after the hcg shot I got Monday (yesterday). I doubt I'll test, because the doc said I could get a false positive if I test prior to 12 days post shot. Oh well! I just cannot imagine being pregnant this cycle. It would shock the panties right off me.

WannaBMom - October 9

Well, GOOD LUCK!!!!! All I can say is that you totally never know what will happen. I never thought for a second that I would get lucky on my first IVF try and here I am - granted, after 4 losses so it's about time but still! My levels went up again today..more than doubled so that is good. My 1st u/s is scheduled for the 20th - maybe you and I will both have good luck around that time! :)

Ianmichael3 - October 9

WannaBMom: Oh I CERTAINLY hope so!! I will keep you posted..... GOSH, it is sooo good to hear good news! It gives me hope, which I needed today. I'm so sick of the 'trying'!!! Then the WAITING!! It is sooo frustrating.... then with financial issues (which apparently everyone and their brother is experiencing)- I am just not optimistic we're even doing the right thing (having another baby- our son is 6 tomorrow) :(

jennylee - October 24

Hi All,
I am in the midst of my very first 2ww. First attempt at IVF /ISCI, and literally feeling like an all around nut job on my better days lol. This forum has been my saving grace in many ways, and I have been voraciously reading everybody's posts. I don't feel alone in this now....I am however wishing my beta weren't 6 long days away........sore boobs, nausea, cramping, dizziness, face break outs....Is it my period??? Some days I find myself bawling over a BFN that hasn't even happened yet and others I feel cautiously hopeful and even dare to think positive.........Good Lord, I need a hot bath and a drink, but that isn't going to happen any time soon I hope........Thanks for listening

Ianmichael3 - October 24

Jennylee: Hang in there kiddo! That 2 ww, is hell, but you will get through and hopefully have a joyously wonderful crying fit when you get your BFP!

We just had our 1st RE appointment Wed. and found out I have a cyst in my ovary, so we can't even try IUI for another month - and that's IF the darn thing goes AWAY! Have heart girl and just do your best to prepare for a negative.

Lis - March 9
