4D Sonograms

Has anyone had one of these? A friend of mine knows the sono lady and she got a short 4D sono for free. It was really cool.

Would you consider it? At my OB's office it is $175 for a 30 minute sono. Insurance does not cover these.

Just curious,

Justme -

TOTALLY CONSIDER IT!!! Actually, we went for one, but Baby was being extremely stubborn...face burried in the placenta...and they couldn't get a good picture. So, we had to pay a $50 sitting fee. So, we got nothing. I would suggest you talk wtih your OB to find out the optimal week for you to go...they say usually before 30 weeks and you'll get some great pix!! I would have LOVED to see this baby's face, but we couldn't. THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOO COOL...and I figured the price was worth it just to see. But, after we didn't get good pix, DH said that it was an awful lot of money just to see him...when we'll see him in just over a month anyway. I'm sure he was trying to make me feel better, but damnation, they are SO cool!!

Just my opinion...can you tell I was SO looking forward to it?? Guess I did get a preview afterall...of just how stubborn my little guy is going to be!!

;)

Let us know what happens - and post the pix if you get them!!

Justme, I WISH I had that option!!! I would definitely do it if I could. I'd take the chance on not getting a good picture because hopefully, you'd get a great one! Karen
