Question about stimulation schedule

Dr. Jacob - I read in one of your previous post that in your fsh protocol you instruct that the injection be used every 12 hrs. What happens if you use it less and 12 hrs, like 10 hrs some days, 8 hrs and 12 hrs? Will it affect egg quality? Can it be a reason for fragments?

Also does down regulating, starting with high dose then decreasing as you get closer to iui improve egg quality?

Thanks
Faith

If you are off on your timing of FSH injection by an hour, maybe as mush as 2, it will probably not make any difference. The reason to "step down" the dose during stimulation is to try to prevent hyperstimulation. We cannot see egg qulity in IUI cycles, so there is no way to compare those eggs with the ones in an IVF cycle.
Good luck.

Thanks.
