Progesterone Level at 7 days past ovulation

My doctor is monitoring my progesterone levels at 7 days past ovulation. The first test reported a level of 3.1. The next month showed 5.4.
These levels seem drastically low to me. This month the doctor put me on 50 mg of Clomid. Will that raise my levels? The nurse did not seem concerned and said the tests showed "probable ovulation." How can that be?

Progesterone determination, alone, cannot determine if you have ovulated. If you actually ovulated, clomiphine can actually decrease your potential for pregnancy. Please see the information I have provided on our web site, <www.texasfertility.com>.
