Dr. Jacobs....
In August of 2005 I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on Clomid and got pregnant on or around Nov. 30, 2005 (2nd round of Clomid). I had my progesterone checked in early January and it was....I think.... 32. I thought that if you were not ovulating that you would have low progesterone and since I hadn't been on Clomid since Nov., I wouldn't think it could have raised my progesterone levels, but I don't know how it all works.
So, my question, i guess, is....Does someone have to have low progesterone if they aren't ovulating? And, how could my progesterone be that high a month after getting pregnant?
Thanks!
GOD BLESS!!!

When you become pregnant, the corpus luteum, where the egg was released, makes progesterone until the placenta takes over. Good luck.
