My OB/GYN put me on Provera 10mg 3x a day (for two weeks) when I told him about my BFP in June. I have been reading from other sites and now here that Provera helps in bringing a period. Why would I be put on Provera in a recently confirmed BFP?

Your OB who prescribed Provera must have had a reason, which I do not know. Please ask him/her.
