Dr Jacobs,
I was doing some research and I came across a website that said women with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome who are on low weight heprin such as Lovenox) and asprin and are still unable to care a baby to full term they would consider putting a patient on Prednisone, what advice do you give? I just had another m/c and I was on Lovenox and asprin for over 6 months and still m/c again at 6-7 weeks.
Also I have an apt with a Hemetologist for the first time I was wondering why my ob is sending me there, I was already told I have anticardiolipin antibody syndrome?
What is it a Hemetologist does? I no it has to do with blood.
Thanks so much Dr Jacobs

I know of no benefit to using Prednisone, or any other steroid to prevent miscarriage. Neither do I know why your OB is sending yo to a hematologist. You will have to ask him/her. Good luck.
