Low Inhibin B level.

I just got my results from my clomid challenge. The nurse said that everything came back ok except for my Inhibin B level was low(30). I have another appointment with the RE next cycle to do an E4(?) test. I am wondering what the treatment is for low Inhibin B? I want to avoid IVF if possible since we are paying out of pocket. My husband and I do have one biological child that we conceived naturally after one month of ttc. We have been ttc #2 for 6 years. I am 32 years old. TIA!

I do not test for inhibin, or use the clomiphene challenge test. There are a number of tests for ovarian reserve. Those are just 2. Inhibin levels will not be used to determine if you need IVF. If you have a tubal factor problem, or if semen parameters are bad enough that sperm need to be injected into eggs, you would be best served with IVF. Remember, it is likely to cost you more if you repeatedly use a protocol that does not work.
Good luck.
