Hello,
I recently went for an HSG test. I experienced a tremendous amount of discomfort during the test. I also had cramping and bleeding after the test. I bleed off and on for about 24 hours after the exam.
I am wondering how similar an IUI is to an HSG test in terms of the procedure itself. From what I have read they are almost identical in the process in which they are preformed.
Does this mean I can expect a similar amount of pain, bleeding and cramping with an IUI?

An IUI is NOT NEARLY as painful as an HSG--day night (and not alike in the procedure) !
I experienced hardly any pain during IUI (like a pap smear) and had some cramping after that felt like menstural cramps. No bleeding--
