Does it make any difference? Also...does "sperm sorting" for gender selection work? Someone told me they had it done and 3 out of 4 embryo's were female (she was hoping for a male). Please advise! Thanks!

There is a certain loss of viable sperm when you freeze and thaw the specimen. If it an excellent specimen to start, it is probably OK. There are 2 methods of sorting for gender. One provides about a 60/40 distribution, as opposed to 50/50. That is certainly not worth while. Flow cytometry provides a much better segregation of X fromY bearing sperm, but it is not 100%. It also cost about $3000. We do not do it.
