When I went to see a doctor who does IVF, he found that I have a fibroid which is 2.2 cms and said If I go with IVF there are less chances because the fibroid is in my cavity occupying for 20% space. He suggested to go with laparoscopic surgery for removal of fibroid before IVF treatment. As an experienced doctor I look forward for your suggestion. Is it good to remove the fibroid before I go for IVF and Is laparoscopy best, doesn't cause any problem if I get pregnant? I went thru laparoscopic before twice for my tubaligation and for another test.
Thanks for your time Jikki

The data I have found imply tha removing a fibroid just under the uterine lining is beneficial. Fibroids in the wall of the uterus do impair IVF pregnancy raes, but removing them provides little or no benefit. Good luck.
