Hi Dr. Jacobs,
I did my first Clomid cycle last month in anticipation of an IUI. As it turned out I ovulated earlier than anticipated so we never did the IUI.
When this cycle started I had 3 cysts on my ovaries so we skipped the Clomid this cycle. Becuase I usually O early I start OPKs on CD7 just to be sure (i usually O CD 11-12). This cycle I got 2 ++ on days 7&8 and based on my temps think I O'd on CD9.
Now to get to my question...does that early LH surge have anything to do with the cysts? Do the cysts release hormones? In addition to the early surge, my face looks like a mine field! I have never had acne this bad! Also my temps have taken a nose dive over the past 2 days (6&7 DPO). Just curious if this has anything to do with the cysts.
