I just found out that I am pregnant. I know that I ovulated around July 4th. My HCG is at 27,000. Should I be concerned with this? It seems awfully high. I am scheduled for another u/s on Monday.

There is a very wide range of normal hCG levels during early pregnancy. The important thing is that the level at least double every 48 fotr the first 8 weeks.
