Better to wait it out or use meds?

It looks like this is probably going to be my first annov cycle, and the RE is going to "kick me to the curb" because my FSH was high for the first time (normally only 7-8 ), and my E2 so low, on CD3. Today is day 10, and my b/w is worse.

I was at the hormone dr yesterday and he gave me a script for Prometrium & bio-identical estrogen to balance out my hormones. I am thinking of going ahead with the meds on schedule, despite not ovulating, and bring this cycle to an end by day 28, so I can have another chance next cycle.

Last time my b/w was this bad, I tried to wait it out, and finally ovulated on day 48, ending in a 60 day cycle. I don't want to wait that long, I am afraid that I am rapidly running out of time here, maybe I already have?

Is this a good idea? Will it help my next cycle be better, taking the meds?

I really have no idea what is being done to you. It does not sound like any standard protocol I know. It sounds as though your ovaries need stimulating. If your ovaries will respond, you are probably best served using an FSH product.
Good luck.
