Ive been charting my temperature...usually preovulation temps are low and post ovulation are high. However I just completed an unsuccessful cycle and was taking progesterone shots and suppositoties. I stopped taking them a week ago and got my period on Monday. Since then my temps have been very high, today was 98.4. Could this be because the progesterone is still in my system? or could it be indicative of some kind of other hormonal imbalance? I usually have 28-30day cycle. Light periods lasting 2-3 dyas. Ovulation usually happens on day 14 (using the ovulation predictor kit) Thanks.

Depending on the doses of progesterone, you may still have some in you. Please see the information about ovulation testing on our web page, <www.texasfertility.com>. Basal temperature tracking is just not very reliable.
