I am scheduled to have an abdominal ultrasound....I may have to ingest a drink containing barium. I am not pregnant now, but if I were to become pregnant between now and the ultrasound, would it harm the baby? And how long does the barium stay in your system?

None of the barium will be absorb from your intestine. All of it will go into the tiolet. It cannot hurt a pregnancy.
