Anesthesia for Myomectomy - Q for Dr

Hi,
I would like a second opinion. I am in France and scheduled for a myomectomy via abdominal incision. I met with the anesthesiologist, who said I have a choice of the type of anesthesia, either general or locoregional. I want to know if this is true because I have read several sites on the Internet that say only general anesthesia is possible when having a myomectomy via abdominal incision. I have several fibroids, the largest being 6.5 cm.

I thonk you will be much more comfortable with a general anesthetic.
