Progestrone Levels after IUI

A week after IUI I went back to have my progesterone level checked. My doctor stated that he wanted to see at least a 12 and I came in at what I thought was a whopping 42. They told me this was good, but does anyone know whether this number being so much higher increase the chances that conception was achieved?

Mine was 74.5 7 days after IUI w/ clomid cycle and no success ... very disappointing.
