Lupron & IVF cycle question

Starting meds tonight - my doc is out of town and my IVF clinic is out of state ugh.....
Is the Lupron supposed to be refrigerated after the first use? Also, looking at my protocol calendar my egg retrieval ends up being about 19 days after my likely first day of cycle (period) - is this normal (i am used to IUI around normal time in your cycle of being fertile)???

My doctor advised us to refrigerate all meds once they are opened. We had our whole butter dish filled with meds, lupron, repronex, follistem......
Good luck in your cycle. I am not sure of what the average protocol is for IVF. It seemed as if I was on those drugs for 10-14 days. I just did IVF last month and I already have a hard time remembering the regimen.

Hi I will look at my schedule right now for you but I know Lupron has to be refrigerated oil drugs do not. The reason water based drugs do is because of bacteria. Well i looked at my cycle and yes your on lupron 19 days. Then my doctor put me on progesterone and medrol so i wouldn't get an infection during transfer. This is my third cycle and they have pretty much kept the dates of the meds the same! Let me know if this helps you! Paige
