I have been reading some of the questions on IVF and have endometreosis. I would like to know what your opinion is on my chance of a successfull cycle with my current conditions and my age (30)?

I had a laporotomy in 2003 and the dr. removed alot of endo tissue from my ovaries and my bowels. Took Lupron for 6 months, tried on our own to get pregnant...no luck.

November 2005 had another laporotomy removed more endo tissue and 8 inches of my colon. (I don't get menstrel craps just horable bowel pain) I have been on Lupron since being in the hospital. (12 month) On dec 1 i started birth control and stat my 1st ivf cycle on the 26th of Dec.

Also, I am hypothyroid due to raidiation treatment in may 2006. My tsh, t3 and t4 levels are supposedly fine.

Given my history is there any hope of this being successfull? I truely trust my RE. As this is my one and only chance to do this I want to be sure that my chances are good.

I'm sorry, but your post is way beyond my level of expertise. You have a complicated medical history and I'm not sure anyone can accurately predict your chances of success. I think IVF is your best chance of pregnancy, and you do have your age in your favor, but your chances will be significantly lower than would be expected for someone at your age. Your severe endometriosis is a major problem which may or may not be effectively addressed by surgery and Lupron. I guess you'll just have to trust your RE and give IVF a try. You will know more about your chances as the cycle progresses. Best of luck.
