Hi I just transfered 4 embryos....
1- 5 cell
1- 6 cell
1- 7 cell
1- compacting 8 cell
I'm 30 years old, have had one child from a poor quality embryo, one m/c from another poor quality embryo, and this is my 5th cycle. I've always had poor embryos but switched to St. Barnabas and actually got good embryos. What are my odds for success?

The compacting 8-cell is a good sign. Its difficult to determine the developmental potential of the other embryos since they haven't made it over the 8-cell "hump" and you didn't provide any "grade" information. All-in-all, it doesn't look bad. If the other embryos were of reasonable quality, I'd say you have somehwere in the range of 20-30% chance of success.

yikes... still seems so low. One of the embryos had slight fragmentation and the others supposedly looked good. The 5 cell was a 4 that morning and split by the time of transfer. If a cell looks like it's getting longer and more oval is that an indication that it will divide again?

By the morning of Day 3, embryos with good developmental potential have reached the 8-cell stage. Many embryos stop growing between the 4 and 8-cell stage. Of your embryos, only one had reach the appropriate stage for Day 3 and had demonstrated continued development by initiating compaction. The other embryos were slow and are not likely to grow much beyond their current cell stage. With only one embryo showing promise, and the reamining embryos in the "maybe" category, the best you can expect is around a 30% chance. Keep in mind that even when everything is optimized (e.g. donor egg, no male factor, blastocyst transfer), the highest chance of a term pregnancy from IVF is only about 60%.
