Hi there,
Thank you so much for providing all this information to those of us out there with one million questions.
We are about to have our first FET. . . A little history first . . .
On our first round of ISCI after 14 days of stims we did a 3 day transfer with 3 good grade embryos but 2 only had 4 cells and 1 had 5 cells. It resulted in a positive pregnancy and we have a healthy little boy. On our second round 17 months after the first round we got the same outcome with the same 14 days of stims. We transfered 4 embryos - 1 at 5 cells and 3 at 4 cells but got a -ve.
All our embryos have been slow growing. On the first cycle nothing made it to 5 days. On the second cycle they froze 6 at 3 days but all 4 cells. These are what they are going to use for the FET. Apparently 2 of them are excellent quality aside for the cell count. I told my Dr. that if there was only a slim chance we would rather go for a fresh cycle. He believes we have good chance and encouraged me to do the FET first. I am not convinced. What are your thoughts. Also, are there any questions I should be asking my Dr.
Thanks for your input.
Jane

I have another question. . .
Is it possible to grow eggs to blast once they have been frozen or do you have to somehow match the age of the eggs with the age of the lining . . . I really have no idea how it all works so I hope that question makes sense.

I think you should try the FET with the following caveat; the embryos can be thawed and grown to the blastocyst stage prior to transfer. They will synchronize your endometrium the same way as they would for a Day 3 embryo FET so that the blastocyst stage embryos would be transferred on the 7th day following hCG trigger.
