yesterday, i had a transfer. 3 blasts, 1 3ab, 2bb and a 1 which thet did not grade.

what are my chances? today on day 6, they also froze 2 - 4 ab, and a 4 bb.

dx; low morphology and mild PCOS. I am 38, DH 42. I have ds from IVF #1 and the last cycle failed due to a miss disognosis of PCOS. e.g. they fried my eggs with repronex. my protocol this time was 0.2 lupron, 300 follistim, 33 eggs, 26 mature.

also they ICSI's 11 and 9 ferlized, 15 they let antural fertlization and of those on 3 fertilized....what is the reason for the rate of low fert. on non-ICSI's embryos?

thanks

If the transfer went well, I'd guestimate your chances are about 40% of taking a baby home from the hospital. If the lab is good at freezing blastocyst stage embryos, then I'd say you have another 40% chance with the frozen-thawed embryos. All in all, not bad.

The diminished quality of eggs from PCOS patients often results in poor fertilization (with ICSI and "natural" insemination). You can force the issue with ICSI, but often the result is the same - you may get them to fertilize by ICSI, but they only divide a couple of times and stop. You can't make a bad egg good by injecting it with a sperm.

P.S. The Repronex did not fry your eggs. The RE managing the Repronex cycle fried your eggs.
