Hi, I am new to this board. I have a question regarding day 3 vs. day5 ET.
I am 37(38 in Dec.) DH is 32. I have a 14 y/o from previous marriage.
6/99 ectopic pg( had lap saved tubes)
3/00 ectopic pg same tube then unable to conceive naturally
IVF 12/2003 4 fert. eggs day 3et- Beta 15- chem. pg
IVF 8/2004 4 Fert. eggs day 5 rt(3 emb. put in) 0-froz.
IVF 10/2006 w/ ICSI 6 fert. eggs 3 8cell , 3 6cell day three. On day 5 only 3 blast all three transferred: today Beta was 5, started period. My prog. was down to 11.
Would it be better in our case to do a day 3 ET and put 4 or more in? My cycle was perfect. My lining was a 12, my E2 was fine and progesterone was 36 2dpt. My RE uses the prometrium vaginally instead of IM prog. What are your thoughts?

I'd stick with the Day 5 transfer because I'm beginning to suspect that there is a problem with implantation, not the embryos. I would suggest immune testing for natural killer cells (level and activation assay). Other immune testing may also be indicated. For more imformation on immune testing, see http://www.repromedix.com/forp

.
- scroll down and click on the various immune testing. NK assesment is indicated following repeated early misscariage (yes, chemical pregnancies count). Not all docs believe in immunological testing. If your doc pooh-poohs the idea of immune testing, get a second opinion.
