this might be a little bit of a vent, but also wondering if it is normal. I live in the state of WV (north central area) and have not had much success in finding an accupuncturist. I did find one in the next town over and i contacted them via phone and email. i never got a response back but kept calling and finally got someone. they said that they would send me out a packet, to complete it, the doctor would review it and then let me know if he felt he could take me on as a patient and assist me. I did this and mailed it back. I have not heard from them for more then a week so thursday i called their office and got someone. she said, oh, yes we got your paperwork, the doctor should give me info this week, you will hear from us by friday. NOTHING!!! no call no nothing. I am beginning to think, if this is how they run their business, i don't want them as my doctor, but there is not much in the way of a choice here. I am frustrated and wondered if this is normal practice for this type of doctor? >:(

That sounds incredibly frustrating and the acupuncture process should definitely be something that promotes your sense of calm and relaxation.
