I just got back from Florida. My husband and I went down for a wedding. It took my mind off of my test this week. I haven't gotten my period yet, but I am not sure exactly how long to wait before taking it. I had the IUI done 2 wks ago tomorrow. Any suggestions??
I ran into an old friend at the wedding, who has 2 beautiful children, both from IUI. So, I know there is hope.
I am 38; DH is 37. No children; PCO; 1 partially blocked tube; 2 failed IUI's; 3rd IUI cancelled; 1st IVF in May resulted in m/c; 2nd IVF in August, BFP on 9/6/05.
I have been posting for about a month now so I'm not sure if you have seen me around but I saw your post and I think you could test anytime now. IUI is equivalent to the old fashioned way only quicker as the sperm are put directly into the uterus so 2 weeks is more than enough to test using an hpt. Good luck and make sure to announce the good news which I am keeping my fingers crossed you will get!
36 years old. Married for 17 years. 1 son, 7 years old, conceived w/ ICSI. 2nd IVF w/ ICSI in June=No Fertilization. August cycle cancelled for poor response. Considering options.

Oneandonly, I am glad you can finally start your process. I was so happy to get my first period after m/c to. It made me feel somewhat "normal" again. Good luck with this cycle.

Well, I called my dr today to have a blood test on Wed., but I just got my period 10 minutes ago...aghhh!!! I was really hoping this time it would work.
I talked with my dh and we are going to try one more IUI and see what happens. I hope the results are better than the first 2 times. First time, 1 egg matured by Day 17, this time, 1 egg matured by day 10. At least it matured quicker the 2nd time. I have read on here that the small or medium size ones continue to grow from cycle to cycle, so maybe that will help. Who knows, it is so frustrating, I just feel like screaming!

Sue- sorry about your disappointment. A friend of mine got pregnant with twins on her third IUI, so mabybe the 3rd time is a charm! I am on my 4th day of my cycle so dh and I can start trying soon! I hope April is our month!

Sue, I am soooo sorry about your period. That darn thing. This whole infertility thing just takes patience. So be sad as long as you need to and then you can move forward. It took Heathermac a few tries of IUI too and she is now pregnant! So there is hope!

Hi, I miscarried February 17th and had a D&C on February 25th. It was my first pregnancy.I was, of course, devasted. I never thought I would be so glad to get my period. I got it April 2nd.... So anyone looking for a ttc buddy in April, has found one Good Luck everyone!!

Thanks ladies for your support. It means alot! I spoke to the dr today and have an u/s scheduled for Thursday to start the process again. They are looking to change medication and/or dosage this time, so we'll see.

Samantha- sorry about your loss! Welcome to the month of April! I am excited that we can try again, yet so nervous about having a 3rd miscarriage! I am going to get an ovulation kit next week and see what happens.
Sue- I hope the end of April brings good news!

Thanks for all the good luck wishes. After my m/c, when my doc said to join a message board for support I didn't think it would help. But it really has helped to see that other women(sadly) have been through the same thing. If only every pregnancy was perfect... I'm getting more and more excited.. and I really hope all of us ttc in April will have good lucK! Or for that matter any of us ttc has good luck. Thanks for listening! -Samantha

Yes, I certainly agree this support has helped tremendously! It is sad that we have experienced so many losses and bumps in this road but there is so much comfort, hope and well wishers here I feel like we are all in this together.babydust to all...cassandra
