Hi,
Just received news today that husband's sperm antibodies are 50% and his count is 8%.  Do you have any insight into what this means for us? Feeling very confused about the effect of this on us trying to conceive.

A sperm count of 8% is not a valid report of anything.  Count is reported as number of million per ml (unit volume).  As far as antibodies, 50% of what?  How was antibody testing done?  The only valid test for sperm antibodies I know is the ImunoBead Test.  Why was he tested for antibodies?  That is not a standard test, and is done for secific medical history issues, or sperm clumpimg or poor motility.

His percentage of normal morphology is 8.  We were told that 15% is considered normal.  The test that we were told related to antibodies is called SPERM MAR RESULTS- IGG (MAR IGG) and the normal range is 0-20 % bound.  My husband tested at 50% bound.  His Sperm Concentration is 156 MIL/ML- is this the count?

The 156 million per ml is the count.  His morphology is moderately poor.  The sub specialist I use for male infertility uses the a different test for antibodies.  From my limited reading in the area of andrology, I think the ImunoBead test is more reliable.  If he really does have an antibody problem, You may require IVF and injection of sperm into eggs to create embryos.
Good luck.
