hello, all!! i have been dignosed with bilateral hidrosalpnx doctor proposed removal and ivf, is there anyone that did it and their ovaieris still functioned or do they also have to remove the ovaries?? i am kinda scared if ivf doesn't succeed, am i never gonna have a baby??heeeelp!!!!!!!
Hi diapapadia, I had a similar, not the same diagnosis,my tubes have a scar tissuie on both ends, but no liquid in them,so the bottom line they are blocked. In my case they didn't want me to remove them, because there is no infection there. In your case,if you go for IVF and DO ger pregnant,it might be a problem with embryo implantation, because the liquid from your tubes can wash out the embryo and will not let it attach or can cause an infection. That is why they don't want to risk and offer you to remove your tubes. It will give you a better chance to concive and no,it will not affect you ovaries, because your tubes just like a bridge and with IVF they can just bypass it by placing embryos strait in your uteris. I hope this will help you!
