I'm on my first IVF cycle. My day 4 e2 was 32 (gonal-f, 150, 2xday). My Dr. increased my gonal-f to 225x2. Day 6 e2 was 93. I don't have today's e2 results yet (day , but my Dr. said that we might have to cancel this cycle. (the ultrasound this morning showed about 11 fol.)
What could be the reason for this? Under what circumstances would you cancel the cycle? (I'm 34 and my Dr. said my e2 levels should be much higher at this stage).

There are a number of reasons women are poor responders.  The most common is poor ovarian reserve.  Although women in their late 30's and early 40's are more likely to be low on eggs and follicles, it can happen to women in their early 30's.
Good luck.
