this is not true...you do not need to have a reversal for IVF. If you plan on having your insurance cover it like i did you have to have the reversal. Once you have the reversal you wait a year to try and conceive if you dont conceive then you go see a specialist and they will perform the dye test on your tubes. If your tubes have no lesions and are in good shape then your case becomes "unexplained infertility". This is when your health insurance will okay IVF, such as in my case...Blue cross blue shield has been great. I was authorized 3 cycles..The reason they approved me was that Ive had pregnancies but they ended in miscarriage- good luck hope this helps.
