I just did the IVF transfer Nov. 9th.  I'm in the waiting process and I am having a problem with bloating.  Not only are my boobs hurting, but I look like I'm about 5 months pregnant already from bloating.  Is that usual?  I haven't read about that on anyone else's problems.

I know exactly what you are saying.  I had two embryos transferred on November 10th.  I have severe bloating and extemely tender breasts.  I should know better.  My daughter just turned 3 on Nov 3 from IVF.  I feel like I should remember everything I went through and I remember nothing.  I also thought this IVF would be less stress and easier etc b/c I already have a child, but it isn't.  This two week wait is absolutely killing me.  I found this site just today looking for some difinitive answer that I am pregnant.  I get my test on Monday, the 20th.  My progesterone was good yesterday.  I take the suppositories twice a day.

The one thing that is different for me is that I have to still do Lupron injections daily to keep my Estrogen under control b/c it was really high last week.  So I guess I am not being much help, but just venting as well.

i'm feeling better now.  i spoke to my doctor and you can take senakote.  It is a natural laxative and stool softner.  It really helps.  Such a personal discussion, but going through this takes all the personal out of everything.  Anyway, try senakote, it definately helps and since it is all natural, it will not hurt anything.  I wish you luck and hope you fell better soon.

Hi jamiez,
My egg transfer was on 5th december. The result is BFP. The egg retrival was on 29th. After couple of days from the egg transfer I am feeling bloated.

My stomach has been swollen and it's bit unusual. Sometimes its very stiff. I took the Ducolax laxtive suggested by my doctor but it did not helped me much. I am still bloated. I think its due to mild OHSS

Can you please let me know for you how long the bloating last. Normally how many weeks it take to get better.

I had my IUI on Monday and I am so bloated today that I couldn't even fit in my pants!!!  It has only been a few days so I might be imagining things...I can't ever remember being this fat! Something has to be happening because I looked different than last week

Did you all experience bloating in the first week or second week of the wait?

Maggie - I experienced terrible bloating after my second ivf transfer...I actually started bloating while taking the medications before the transfer...They say it a lot of it fluid retention from thr fertility medications...Hang in there you may get even more bloated if your test comes back positive because I was told that HCG causes bloating and fluid retention
