JenFrancis - Thank you for your welcome, I am surprised at how much it means to me to hear from someone who knows what I'm going through.  My husband is the best, but it just isn't the same.  During the past 4 years, we've been a team, totally responsible for our hopeful family.  During this 2ww, I feel like my body will either fail or succeed...cut and dried!  In my rational mind, I know that isn't true, but I am not being ruled by my rational mind these days.  I question every twinge:  Is that implantation?  Is that AF at the door?  My test is in 4 days, and I just want to sleep until then so I don't have to spend it on an emotional roller coaster.  Don't worry, ladies, I am staying positive for the most part.  But I don't mind saying that I really, really, really want a baby soon!

Nonnie -
I agree about the hubby not really being the same as coming to this forum!  I came here kind of looking for answers and made buddies! They totally understand and someone is always ready with an uplifting word!

There is nothing wrong with leaning on another woman or two during this time, it may relieve hubby a bit too!
You can tell this panel anything and someone somewhere has been through it.

Your next three days will go by fast! And no you will not be rational! You will be all over the map with emotions and feelings!  I felt the same way about not wanting to do anything until my bloodtest! I just had to know! I ended up taking home pregnancy tests on my own.

I hope-n-pray this works for you! My sister has twin boys (after ONE cycle of IVF) and this is my second time.  I am certain this will happen sooner rather than later for you!

What is your plan b just in case? What is the next step from here?  It helped me to have that in mind, because when they called me and said we do not have good news, I knew I would be on my bcp that following friday, ready to get started on my second cycle!

Take care, and Wednesday will be here before you know it!

Dear JenFrances,

Our plan is to try again, but I am still not ready to give up quite yet.  This would be easier if I were not having every early PG syptom in the book thanks to the medications.  I have taken 3 HPT tests...the first was 3dp3dt to see if HCG was out of my system.  2nd was 7dp3dt, and 3rd was 11dp3dt (this morning).  All were negative.  Yesterday I felt a pulling crampiness in my lower abdomen on the left side, and waited for AF to arrive, but so far so good.  I will post my beta results on wednesday.

Jen- When is your US?

Prayers for you nonnie! Don't get discouraged.  I am sure you know that those tests are looking for very high levels of HCG.  The blood test at your doc can get a positive test at only 5! So just let them give you the official results. Its good you have a plan, that will keep you going no matter what.
I will be right here Wednesday!

My u/s is Wednesday the 14th 1 pm.  so I will be posting late.

I woke up today and my breasts don't hurt anymore.  For the past two weeks my bbs have hurt so bad that I haven't taken my bra off- even to shower!  Then, all of a sudden...NOTHING! Has this happened to anyone who still had a BFP?  Funny, but I'm worrying more now that I'm feeling better than when I was bloated and in pain.  I did not take another hpt test this morning, simply because I am making myself crazy! I am having dreams that I take an hpt, but it has about 100 different symbols (not just - or +), and the symbols keep changing while I try to look up in the book what they mean.  I have just accepted that I have done everything I can, and it has either worked or it hasn't.  Beta in 2 days.  Thank you for all your kind thoughts.

Hi nonnie,

I am in the same boat as you. Driving myself crazy. I am due for my beta on Saturday, but the lab is closed so I have to wait until Monday. Like I have not waited enough!!!! I as you, have been freaking out, questioning every symptom. I wish you the best on Wednesday.

This is our first IVF/ICSI as well. We had 2 failed IUI's with clomid and injectables.

Best of luck to you!!!

Hi Bundleofjoy!

I feel ridiculous!  I am a registered nurse, had no problem with the injections...okay, the first one took me a minute!  But really, hovering over my own belly with a needle was quite a bit different than jabbing a patient.  The same hesitation occurred when it changed to IM injections (I give them to myself about half the time).  But I have understood the language, instructions, rationale, etc.  I also don't remember the 2ww after IUI to be this unraveling emotionally.  Maybe it's the money, maybe it's because I left the ET telling myself that until AF arrives, I was considering myself pregnant...maybe it's because none of our other embryos made it to blast stage and cryopreservation.

My bbs hurt again.  I think the timing of my progesterone shot is the culprit (12:00 noon).  I feel 'better' in the morning and decidedly crappy in the evening.  But I thought breast tenderness was due mainly to estrogen...I'll have to research that.

I can't believe they are making you wait the weekend!  Why couldn't they just test you Friday?

Dear Marina,

Thank you for your reassurance.  I have been reading your posts on the site and I wish you success with your FET on June 13.  Beta tomorrow, I haven't tested again since Sunday morning at about 4 or 5.  I am either going to sleep today away, or get out of the house.  The power nap will probably win, since I'm exhausted and always have this light, nagging headache.  But first I'm going to stay on the site for an hour or two to boost my confidence and hope.

Good luck to anyone else on the 2ww.

Marina, I will be praying for you.

I mistakenly wrote that my last hpt was 11dp3dt...it was 9dp3dt.  I'm at 11days past my transfer today.  Duh!

Nonnie,I know this 10 days are the longest days in your life(wait until the Beta call from the clinick tomorrow!LOL)
I think you started testing with hpt too early-it's not going to show until at least 9 days after(mine was negative on day 8th,than very faint positive on day 9th)
It seems like all that baby journey were long for you and  a bit a hassle.Good luck tomorrow!Let me know!

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!  I couldn't help it...I took another hpt and it was negative.  I've spent the afternoon in bed, but I guess I'd rather not be totally shocked and break down on the phone with the nurse.  Will post the official results tomorrow, you gals deserve to know too.

Hi Nonnie,

Its amazing how fast you learn to give yourself injections. I never thought I would be here.!

I finally caved today and did a hpt. Of course it was negative. Now, I feel horrible! Why do we do that to ourselves?

Good luck tomorrow! Lots of baby dust.

Okay, so, my mother-in-law asked me this evening what my instinct was- did I think it worked or not? I am posting my answer since I think it is kind of funny.  USUALLY, my instincts are right on.  But I do not trust my instincts on this since my feelings about it literally change every 10 minutes!  I would have felt more positive had I not taken any hpts (the BFN at 11:00 this morning was a butt-kicker).  Truth be told, I think I took it today because I really thought it would be positive.  When it was negative, I just researched the type of test, the levels it detects, and the HCG levels in normal pregnancies.  So rather than believe the negative result, I'm still trying to find another explanation...I'm still trying to let myself believe that it worked.  My advice - DO NOT TAKE THE HPT!
