I am in my 2WW after my first IVF cycle. I am going nuts as well! I'm definitely addicted to HPT's. I have taken 3 so far and my blood test is Wednesday. All HPT's were negative. I am taking 1cc of progesterone daily. I had some cramping on days 6 & 7 but only minor here and there since then. AF has not shown up at all. My breasts are very sore and hurt most when I lie on my side! Do the progesterone shots make your breasts sore? I'm keeping faith that we are pregnant, but with the negative HPT's I am losing faith! Any help is appreciated!

My advice to all of you who want to do the first response, don't do it. It can give you a negative response and then your depressed until the pg test. At least for 2 weeks think your pregnant, enjoy it and start thinking about what your going to name your baby or how to decorate the room, it will get your mind off the waiting game and it will put your mind some place else. It works!

Hello, I am a writer based in Madison, Wisconsin. I have written about women's health for 20 years, and have been published in Mademoiselle, The Progressive, OurSelves, and many other reputable magazines and newspapers. The 30th anniversary of the home pregnancy test is this year, and I am writing a magazine article about how it has affected women's lives. As a woman who has experienced fertility problems herself, I know how difficult the two-week wait it, and I am especially interested in hearing other women's experiences with home pregnancy tests. If you would be willing to share your story with me for publication, please e-mail me at jpw2522@charter.net. Thanks! Judith Woodburn

Hi all, I'm playing the waiting game also and am just wondering if anyone knows of a home pregnancy test that can detect HCG levels of 20mUI or below and can be purchased in Australia?

m2m, Congrats on your BFP(big fat positive) I have a question for you why do you think that the gel progesterone could affect your positive reading? And also what is the reason for you being on the gel progesterone? I have been on Crinone 8% gel progesterone for over a month I am also trying to conceive, I have had 4 miscarriages, look forward to hearing back from you! I know you are so excited.

thanks tiffany. today i tested again it's really positive.i will only have peace of mind when my blood test confirms my pregnancy. because you know it's hard to assume and be disappointed. i don't think the progesterone vaginal gel has something to do with the result since the main function is to support the uterus ( gosh, now my mind starts to function again. am answering my own question. ) i started the vaginal gel a day after the embryo transfer and will use it until the embryo/fetus will have the placenta. the gel plays an important role in nourishing the uterus since my body doesn't produce enough progesterone. will update you!goodluck to you too.

m2m,
Wow, it's positive for sure! I know what you mean about having the blood test just to confirm things, will you take 2 within 48 hours to make sure your numbers double?
Will this be your first baby? And is this your first pregnancy? I know the family is so excited, I am so happy for you.
Please keep me updated on your progress, You and the baby will be in my prayers....Tiffany
