Has anyone used First Responce Pregnancy Test during their 2ww?
First response can be used 4 days before your period is due... I am not scheduled for my pregnancy blood test until Sunday.. so I bought this test to tied me over.. 4 days for me will be tomorrow (Sept. 1).. so I was going to try it in the morning.
I know that neither a negative nor posiitve response from First Response doesn't necessarily mean anything.. so maybe I am wasting my time.. but I need to do something.. I am going crazy on the 2ww!
I read in the instructions that Clomid, etc won't affect the outcome.. but I have been on Gonoal-F for my cycle.. I am not sure if that will affect the outcome?
Thoughts...... anyone?

If you took an HGC shot that will affect the outcome.

Indeed I did.. I had an ovidrel shot once my LH surge was detected... although that was close to 2 weeks ago.. would that still affect the outcome?
I guess I won't know for sure until my beta test on Sunday.....

Hi guys.. thank you for your responses.. my fears were confirmed this morning... my First Response was negative.. I know.. I know.. it isn't 100% accurate... and is 3 days to my blood test to confrim.. but with all my other PMS symptoms.. I am pretty sure.
I am so, so sad.. I have been crying all week and I just can't face anyone right now. I don't even want to go for my blood test on Sunday.. I am afraid I will break down and cry...
I know I have to be strong.. and think positive thought sfor my next cycle.. but I am just so sad right now....

I am sorry you are feeling so bad. There is nothing I can say to take that pain away right. Just get it all out and like you said, get ready for the next cycle. We are here for you.

Those HPT's can be very discouraging, even though they are mostly accurate.
My RE strongly suggested I don't use them, as they "could cause far more stress than is necessary" and "as stressful as ART is, it is exactly during the early stages (fertilization and initial division) that stress does the most damage." Ironic, isn't it?
Don't read too much into how you feel during the 2ww. On medicated cycles, our bodies can go whacko and what we think are implantation pains is really just bowel moving, and when we feel those AF cramps coming on, we're really implanting, so who knows! I've been through it 4 times now, and every time was different - the last time, I was sure I was going to get AF (the cramping and all), but I got a BFP!
Anyway, good luck to you on Sunday with your blood test. Let us know how it goes.

My blood test at the end of my 2 week wait is day after tomorrow. My period came on this morning. My husband's cousin was in town for a business trip this weekend. He asked me at the end of the week if it was ok for him to stay at our house. Of course I said yes. BUT I was thinking that I would prefer to just have the two of us this weekend, after all, it is our first IUI and we were down to the last couple of days. He has been giving me nasty looks all morning because I am not my usual self - cooking big meals, cleaning, being entertaining for guest. I had to work on top of everything - THEN my period came. I can't describe my mood, it is a mixture of grief, anger, irritability, loss of focus, and nausea. ( I'm always nauseated when upset). They are busy watching football games, going to sports bars and napping in front of the TV. I got ready to leave the house this morning, to hide my moodiness - I said I was going to a mutual girlfriend's house around the corner. He followed me out to the car - out of earshot of his cousin and said, " Don't go over her house, just spend time by yourself." I know what he meant - no need in spreading our infertility business or sorrow, but it was a slap in the face. JUST SPEND TIME BY YOURSELF. So I did. The dog and I went and sat in the park for a couple of hours, listening to the radio. So much for the team effort. I feel like a loser. I have been crying off and on. Thank you for listening. I have to prepare my mindset for more injections and bloating - no time to cry. When we first started going to the infertility specialist in april after the last surgery I would see women sitting in the waiting room by themselves. I felt sorry for them. I thought, "What a pity, going through all this alone, where are their husbands? - thank goodness that's not me." Now I understand those ladies- this is just my little f#*!ing project. I am going to the appointments next month by myself and when it's time he can give up his SAMPLE and take it with me to the IUI. He sucks.

First of all - I am sorry you got your period. That sucks.
Secondly - I would ignore him next time and go see the friend. He was there with his friend and who did you have? Not good. No matter how hard they try, our men have no idea what this is like for us. Its our bodies not doing what we so much want it to do. Its our bodies getting shots that screw our emotions up even more than they already are. If we dont share our sorrow with others it will eat us up. You have to cry and not always be strong. My tears would fill up buckets. If no tears I probably would be suicidal or homicidal now. Be gentle with yourself and try not to punish either of you for the neg test. He sounds like my hubby. More worried about his image at times than what I am going through. I hope you feel better soon.
Take care - Darcie.

Brittonbruson:
Sorry the end of your 2ww wasnt what you hoped for. We had our first IUI at the end of Sept. and found out it failed, it took everything out of me I had to keep telling myself not to curl up into a ball of depression. (It was hard) Most of my friends dont really understand what I am going through and some of them dont even like to bring it up to me because they know how much it bums me out. So I didnt know where to go when I found out it failed and I wasnt preg. I just had some alone time too and then got on this site because its the only place where I think people truely understand. You got to pick yourself up and get ready to "try again". The time between my 1st and 2nd IUI went fast. We just had our second IUI attempt this Friday. So hold your head up and think positive for your next time. gina

brittonbrunson.. so sorry about your negative.. and having to entertain a house guest this weekend. How are you feeling today?
I spent many a few hours sitting alone in a park with the dogs... and as many of us have discussed on different areas of these boards... men just don't get it... they aren't physically and emotionally going through these treatments.. so they can't understand fully what we go through. Your DH was probably just wanting to spend some "man" time with his buddy.. I am sure he didn't mean what he said,,, and I am sorry you have to do your next IUI on your own.. but focus on that next IUI... pour all your positive energy into that day (s) and just concentrate on a positive outcome.. and indeed... if you would like to visit with a friend or neighbour... by all means.. sometimes venting is the best medicine!
Good luck and Baby dust!!!!

Good Morning ladies...I'm playing the waiting game too, I have been feeling nauseous but I honestly believe It's from the Lovenox, I do have 2 daughters but I never felt nauseous with any pregnancy and I've had my share of them...I usually can always tell because my breast become VERY SORE I need no p/g test, But of cousre there not sore so I will just continue to count down the days hoping my cycle will not come, this is the hardest part for me!
